Jeez, Jen. If you're concerned about stringing the guy along, chances are he already has some feelings for you. If they are not reciprocated, and you know they aren't going to be anytime soon, just let him down now. There's no point in building his hopes up further so that the let down is that much worse.Comment

Actually, a letter is oftentimes a better way to communicate, since you can collect your thoughts and no one will interrupt you.
