So why do u advise me to impede attachment? I started this thread not long ago, bcoz I thought of it as a 'problem". But now I see that it's quite the contrary, what could be wrong in giving care? Is it the pain, you'd prefer indifference over pain? The aim of life isn't limiting pain, the focus should be on the more essential feelings of love. In other words, our lives should reflect how God wants us to live and not our own selfish desires of living a happy life.
      "An angel runs
      Thru the sudden light
      Thru the room
      A ghost preceeds us
      A shadow follows us
      And each time we stop
      We fall"

Where exactly did I "advise you to impede attachment"? I think what the others were referring to was getting attached to people that more often than not, will end up hurting you. Some people can spot these people with ease, whereas people like you (from what you have told us) are naive and get attached to people who end up hurting them. Being a compassionate and caring individual is not the same thing as being a self-destructive emotional mess that clings on to people without really knowing them.
