Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Everyone says that they'd prefer staying at home, going on a picnic, doing something other than the usual, but I bet majority of people end up with the usual "dinner and a movie" on their first dates. Am I right?

I think the whole "dinner and a movie" thing is too played out. A lot of people still do that mostly on their first date because on the first date they are usually nervous and during the movie they can't talk to their date. They still enjoy that whole idea of being on a date and know that their date is right next to them. After the movie, I guess they can talk about the movie and their conversation will go from there. But if you have been dating for a while then why continue going to a movie and dinner? Too plain, is it not?
      I see...

Even though I'm one of the stay-at-homers, I can't imagine telling a girl to just come over to watch a DVD or something if it's our first time getting together. I just think the girl would feel that I'm only trying to hit it if I want her to come over. Plus, even though girls say they enjoy staying at home, it's hard for me to believe. It's things like this that make me more comfortable asking a girl out that I've known for a while then just approaching someone, getting their number, and then calling 'em up to go on a date.

I agree if a guy asked me out by having me come over to watch a movie at his place on a first date, then my assumption automatically is his a loser, unless I really know the guy and have been friends with him before he had asked me out. But then again any guy that asks me out saying, "you wanna see a movie or something?" I turn him down, if his first date plans are boring like that, I can only imagine how boring it will get on the second date or third date, if it even comes to that.

For me it doesn't matter, eventhough i agree with the "ananun" guy, its kind of boring going restaurants and eating and watching other couples doing the same, which is kinda lame. But I think every little date that u have it has its own little magic. As long u spend ur time with a nice-extreme-exciting-crazy and creative person.

going at zoo with ur date is really good idea, specially for the most romanitc couples i would suggest to go and sit in the benches ahead of the elephants, its so smelly and at the same romantic that everything starts to stink couple of minutes later.

I don't see anything appealing about the zoo.

Bunch of ugly animals, especially the monkeys with hemroids.

It stinks like hell, and I have a hard time holding my breath for much longer than 40 seconds.

You can't eat anything cuz the stench of elephant xxxx is everywhere. It's hot, and it's boring.

              I hate animals.

Don't diss zoos. Animals are great. I haven't been there in years but I don't remember the smell being unbearable.

Spiral's right, and don't be so quick to diss restauranting. It can be quite enjoyable if you know how to do it right. You don't want to go to the same old place each time. You should try a variety of settings, and a variety of cuisines, preferably things that you aren't always familiar with. Of course, it is far better to do this in New York than it is here - one of the things that sucks about being back in LA. But even in LA there are choice locations to hit, and many offer far more than simply food. The point, for me, isn't to be doing anything particularly unique or special. That's trying too hard, and I can do that on my own. If I'm with a date, I would rather just sit down in a nice place and be able to focus on her, talk to her, and be unique and special myself, instead of resorting to cheap gimmicks to get her to hang with me.

Besides, I've done enough wild things and I've witnessed girls doing enough wild things and I have the film to prove it. At this point, I'd rather be a little more low-key. We can get wild later in the night - if indeed it gets that far.

On a side note - a movie should never be a first date. Again, go someplace where you can talk. You aren't going to learn anything about a person sitting in the dark with her while giving all of your attention to a film screen.
