  • Types of dates

I like the types of dates where I can sit in the room with the girl I am dating, she will be watching me playing my video games, while eating Rice Krispies treats, and when I'm done we can surf the web together and make posts on forums and theonion.com, and watch my bootleg movies, instead of making it a blockbuster night, or going out to some lame dinner. We have plenty of Rice Krispies treats and cereal at home.

What I hate most is going out to some lame restaurant with the date, only to see 10,000 other couples on first dates or just dates all trying to be cool and "go out to dinner". I have a personal hatred of such things. I'm not unique or anything nor do I wish to be god dammit! But god dammit I don't wanna go to a restaurant full of other couples who think they are cool and special because they go out to a god damn restaurant. God dammit, when will someone bomb all these restaurants? That isn't love and romance, that is simple money spending for in ya face food to make couples look like plums. I prefer a flash light dinner in the parking lot, by the car, with some nice AM radio and dancing, and take out food.

ha! it's the best when you have dinner at home whle watching a movie or something and then crash and fall asleep together.

inserting some sex in between the movie and sleep isn't bad either.

How come you have to go out have dinner and watch a movie or stay in and watch a movie? Do something different. Go to the zoo! Too stinky? Hike somewhere and have a picnic! Go rollerblading at the beach! Too lazy? Drive somewhere just to see how the sunset looks there! Drive to SF or Palm Springs or somewhere within driving distance that you can go in the morning and come back a night. Spend the drive just talking and laughing and singing along to music and making fun of eachother's lack of any kind of talent (or maybe even be impressed by how much talent you have ). Take a walk on the beach and grab some books or something and just spend time doing things together that you might otherwise do alone but will be totally different/fun with some company to share the silence with. Too cheap to spring for gas? Stay at home and cook together (which I guess is also Siggie's suggestion ), try making something new and spring for some good wine and treat eachother to dessert blindfolded or something. Put on some music and dance in the middle of the living room/bedroom/whatever room. There are so so so many things that you could do that wouldn't be the same old dinner and a movie (although that's not to say there is anything wrong with dinner and a movie...). Be creative!

because when you're up from 6-1am every night and running around/working from 7-8pm everynight... when you get home you're as exhausted as you can be and don't want to go out... same with the weekends... you try to catch up on all the crap you dind't get done during the week. Constantly working.

Don't wanna get out of bed or off the couch, let alone go out.
It's really depressing I know, but that's my life... The best part is the mental exhaustion that goes along with that.

Oh I know what you mean. I don't mean do those things every weekend. I like your suggestion, in fact I'd much rather cuddle at home on the couch than go out anyway, but sometimes it's fun to do something different. Usually I am so tired from work at 6am then school then studying then shoot me in the head, that I am exhausted by the time I come home and need weekend to recharge. I joke that I am 21 going on middle aged. But still... Where there's a will, there's a way, right?
