Of course power exists in different forms, but here I speak of it in all forms, and you totally misunderstand my position. When you understand that, you won't make such statements. In return for a womans submission, man loves the woman in the full sense of the word. He is in charge but he also wants to make her happy. To me a woman's power consists in being everything a man is not, meaning she is not aggressive, forceful, dynamic, muscular, ambitious, loud, and driven. She is calm, patient, graceful, faithful, tender, soft-spoken, submissive, sacrificing. For me at least, and I suspect most men, possession and the responsibility and trust it implies is the most satisfying aspect toward a relationship.

are completely different..either you have a split personality issue..or you need to get your idea of "what a woman wants" right

I understand why there is a difference. A. Seems to be the girl a guy would have sex with. B. Is the girl he'll love and marry.

p.s. Mousey, I can stomach some of your 'conditions' of what a girl shouldn't be like, but not AMBITIOUS, DYNAMIC, and DRIVEN. Of course she has to be these things. It's important in relationships for both people to have a little bit of these traits (at least). It doesn't mean she won't give things up for the good of her relationship with someone who is her husband and her family. Having ambition and being driven aren't bad things. It's only when they get in the way of, for example if you're a mother, your family life, that it's a problem. Any person without ambition/the drive to succeed (you need the drive to succeed in a relationship, do you not?) is not the kind of person anyone should want around. Plus being ambitious and driven isn't just in work life. It translates into all aspects of life.

Hey, can you blame a guy who likes a girl that is submissive and uber feminine, deer like, and purrs around you like gentle kitty?

By the way, ambition here is in the male sense of the word, we associate ambition with power and the business world and with men. I don't see a woman I like having these uberly masculine traits. Sooory.

            • Ok, then find a different way to describe it. Sheesh men think just because they're guys they can take a word and define it to mean something that only applies to men and only in the exact way they want it.

              am·bi·tion
              n.

              1. An eager or strong desire to achieve something
              2. An object or goal desired

I don't see the words 'power' or 'business' anywhere in that definition. Do you?

Perhaps Mousey just prefers girls who've had a frontal lobe lobotomy?

I think most girls are feminine even if they don't act like purring little kittens. There's more to being feminine than just being submissive.

                    • Bejug I already clarified my definition, and you're dragging a non-issue. I still have my conception of the woman I like, you can't change it.
