Well why exactly is that sweet for you.. im not being sarcastic i would do it too lol.. but why is it sweet cause you can make the guy do these things, or cause ........? fill me in

That act was not out of idiotic desperation, nor is he a pushover! I can't stand pushovers, like you said, you know that. Nor can I stand guys who pout and guys who whine. Yech. This was different. I didn't expect he'd actually do it. I can't explain to you how much he hates mushrooms. It was very sweet. Probably the word romantic isn't exactly right for the situation, but hey it made me think 'awwww' which is generally the response one gets to a romantic gesture, so it worked for me! I can't make anyone do anything they don't want to. Anyway I suppose it's more the idea that he'd do something for me, something that he was completely averse to, in order to make me smile or something, in order to make me happy (we're going beyond mushroom eating here people). THAT is why I thought the gesture was sweet.

Now go eat a mushroom.

I've had a lot of bits and peices of romantic gestures like flowers and stuff but the current best (which you might not think is romantic, but was the sweetest thing ever to me) is someone who hates mushrooms more than anything in the world, like they are poisonous fungus, actually swallowing one just because I said I wouldn't go out with him if he didn't eat one (I was kidding, of course! ).

He's pretty shy. Nothing really sticks out. Maybe I've let him get away with not having to be romantic. He'll bring flowers once a month or so... He sends me cute text messages sometimes.
