heck no! love comes with time and getting to know the person...it really is absurd to use the word 'love' to describe someone you haven't gotten to know; compassion and love for humanity is different! we can have those feelings for all mankind (even for the weird and the twisted amongst us)...
having said that, however, i DO believe in lust at first sight
....which if uncontrolled will lead to 
and 
...therefore, best approach is to have this attitude

I used to believe in love at first sight..I was in 6th grade orientation and the most amazingly goregous guy walked past me..I knew that moment that we were destined to be together for all eternity. I badly dreamed and wished that the next day when school started he would be in my class, and I was so afraid that if he wasnt I would lose him forever. Well that year the stars and the whole horescope stuff was on my side and he ended up being in 4 out of 6 of my classes.
As I got to know him I saw thathe was the nicest, sweetest, and even today the most amazingly goregous guy...but when I realized that we would never spend eternity together , that is when I knew that love at first sight is just complete bologna. Like hyebruin said its not 'love at first sight' it's 'lust at first sight.'
