Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

it starts with armenian unity..
I know a family whose mom is Dutch and the father was Armenian. The father died infortunatley too early, leaving two sons behind. The mother rose the two boys, as being a Dutch woman herself, the two boys have become true Armenians in adopting the culture and the Armenian believes and history.

Yes of course. Every person in this world, should be proud of their heritage and culture, and perserve it to stay strong...national awareness.
but of course its about blood-line also, his father was armenian so that makes him half armenian!!---->

I have been reading through this thread here and there, and the reasons mentioned that you "should" marry Armenians have struck me as nothing short of ridiculous. Perhaps the lamest of all is that your parents can't speak English, and the American can't speak Armenian, so family get togethers would be akward. Number one, I can't stand people who come to America, and don't bother to learn English. You can keep your heritage and language and all, but you're in someone else's country, enjoying a life that wouldn't have been possible "back home". At least have the decency to learn the language!!! That's no better than when you go to a restaurant, and the Mexican behind the counter can't understand you, and you can't understand him/her. In those instances, I'm sure most of you get irritated because the "spic" can't speak English. But if it's an Armenian who can't speak English, all is forgiven??
Then this BS about it being an obligation. Ummm...according to whom? So you see yourselves as born into slavery? What's next, back to arranged marriages?? Of all the billions of people on the face of this planet, "the one for you" is going to be an Armenian in your age group whom you're live within..."dating radius" of, and whom you're attracted to while the guy/girl is "available"? Interesting, but not very likely. And what's this about denying the one for you if he/she isn't Armenian??? This line of reasoning may be in contention with the "parents can't speak English" one for lamest excuse. If you feel you need to marry an Armenian, so be it. That's your will, and you should follow it. But don't give me this crap about it being an obligation for all Armenians. The only obligations we have are to act on our own ideas and principles. My obligation is to follow my will of marrying someone with whom I feel I'm fully compatible, and can see myself growing as a divine entity with, not someone just to procreate with for the sake of popping out more Armenians to increase our population.
On a final note, I'm still a bit curious as to how you're preserving Armenian culture here in America. Marrying an Armenian and having kids doesn't secure this in any way, shape or form, as a susbstancial number of Californian Armenians have proven. Why are all these 100% Armenian kids running around acting like thugs, or speaking butchered, bastardized forms of the language? Why is it the only people they show aggression towards are other Armenians, while they praise how cool blacks are? The simple fact is, there's more to keeping the heritage alive then having 100% "Armenian blood". As I've mentioned before, I've got friends that would put a lot of Armenians to shame with their knowledge of our culture and history. Hell, many have asked me to burn them Armenian CDs!! I've got whitties blasting Armenian music in yuppy land, while you guys got Armenians blasting Tupac in Little Armenia!!!
I don't think you south Californians fully understand how unheard of Armenians are to the rest of this nation. Try asking for January 6th off here because it's "your" Christmas, or April 24th off because it's the memorial of the genocide, and see what your American, white yuppy boss says. Try not knowing how to speak English out here, and see how long you can get by. There is going to be a compromise in the way you live your life weather you marry an Armenian, or not! Non-Armenians are as fully capable of making this same compromise of introducing our heritage into their lives as we HAVE to have with American culture in order to live our day to day lives.
I guess what I'm getting at is, if people truely feel this strongly about living their lives by Armenian culture 100%, they really need to move back to Armenia, because it isn't happening through living in America. Just moving/being born here, you've already compromised your culture, so don't give me this crap that you don't want to compromise with a non-Armenian in marriage. Perhaps spreading the Armenian heritage around to more people who don't know about it would be more successful for us. Anyone ever think about that?Last edited by Crimson Glow; 07-04-2004, 05:05 PM.

OOh God, this thread makes my nerves go upside down. I have to scream again : HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO
Why dont u ask a question to yourselves : why this freaking planet has DIFFERENT nations,DIFFERENT languages????????????
YES there is a reason for that u brainwashed globalists!!!!
Each group of nation stays in one place, interacts with members of the same nation and reproduces with ppl from the same nation. That's just is, how come elephants cant have sex-reproduction with other animals than elephants. (Obviously im not saying different races cannot reproduce) but the nature designed this way that one should be with the one with similar heritage. I dont like seeing someone who has italian, black, irish blood in him/her or a blonde asian or whatever. Americans would never understand this b/c there is no such thing as nation Americans but only a nation consisted by mixture of all races. Sorry, but I dont like that, and I belong to a nation that has as one of its worst enemies the interracial marriages. As I mentioned before, either or other way when we live in a country that is not directly ours, after few generations no one will remember their heritage. But when we have the chance why not make it last even more.
