Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Mr. Anonymouse:
I, too want Armenians to marry Armenians but I also do not want you running around giving stupid reasons for it. The reason should be because it is a beautiful, family oriented and artistic culture that has a lot of potential in contributing to the world. If we add open-minded to such a list and stop being militantly defensive about things, it will be more likely that someone will want to marry Armenian and spread the culture.

Obviously your example of preserving ourselves as 100% Armenians to keep the crime level low is not a very scientifically well-grounded observation, is it?
I did not state my example to compare with Armenia, I stated my example to compare the amount of crime of a homogenous society like Japan, compared to that of America. Even then let's compare the crime of Armenia versus that of South Africa. You are making silly points, and if you actually believe the idiocy that guns kill people and people don't kill people, then you do not need to be bothered with.

I cannot say I disagree with you there Mr. Dusken.

If you do not know history you should not bother making silly statements. The fact that Egypt now calls itself "Egypt" does not mean they are the same as the Egyptians of classical times. In fact, studying the Roman Empire towards its latter days, you would see the strong similarities and parallels with the American Empire.

Wow so many topics coming about because of the original. I agree with mouseys explanation of similarities between the Roman Empires collapse and the U.S. now.
            Great topic.
Anyone seen the Sopranos, where they're beating up some Jew, and they're like oh your a tough SOB.
The jew goes blah blah, even the Romans couldn't destroy us, where are the Romans now, they are extinct, stuff like that.
Then Tony smacks him up and goes we are the Romans. smackkkk.

What they consider themselves to be, has no bearing upon the society itself. There have always been exceptions to the rule, and mixing has always occured, but always in marginal forms. Only now is it changing, where it is becoming the rule gradually. If all Armenians started mixing with blacks and the next three generations continued mixing, what do you think will be the outcome? Such absurdities are never thought through all the way, so long as they satisfy some egalitarian ideal of 'tolerance' and "we are all the same" ideas.
You keep recycling the same statement. If you prefer to mix, say so, blah blah blah. That's not the point and you know it, nor is it in any way a valid reply to anything anyone has said so far. You are going to explain away what is an everyday occurance with 'oh it's an exception' then you can explain away every opinion that opposes your own in that same way. The fact of the matter is that we're not talking here about large-scale blacks and Armenians getting married. It should be quite obvious to you by now that usually people are attracted to those of their same race. It is few and far between that we see Armenians attracted to Asians or whatever other combination you can think of. However when such things do occur and both sides accept and embrace the culture of the other it is VERY possible to preserve your culture, your being, and your people and to say society will be forever changed and will crumble and disappear and Armenians will be no more is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Moreover, I fear Armenians are more likey to get lost because there are those among us who are 100% Armenian mother, father, for generations and generations who would rather forget the fact and not embrace who they are. These Armenians are the one's who are ashamed of calling themselves Armenian and they are more prevalent that Armenians that marry odars and still remain Armenian for generations...

An Armenian mixing with another race, is the same as an Armenian who wants to deny he is Armenian. I do not consider that much of a difference. And usually, the people who do mix are the least Armenian conscience, for if they were they wouldn't have mixed in the first place.

No The Dusken, Japan has always been a homogenous society who consider themselves descendents of the Yamato race. I truly have the deepest respect for those Japs.
