Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

This also shows up that you actually can be cut off the world

Originally posted by AnonymouseI wish it were so cut and dry, but this is childish, no different than those silly evolutionists who trace it back to some mythical "African Eve".
Edit: Actually, after reading your thing about Australian aborigines, I should mention that the man from Asia is a common ancestor to every human except Tasmanian aborigines, who have remained completely sexually isolated.
Also, don't berate me on this if it doesn't fit into your established worldview. I just heard it on NPR and I'm relaying it. Check their website and maybe they'll have a link to more information. I have no interest in this topic, so I don't know anything further. I do know that it has nothing to do with evolution - it's just humans giving rise to more humans.Last edited by loseyourname; 10-08-2004, 11:05 AM.

the more i get to know armenians the less i think about marrying one. i think that armenians have recently become so ethnocentric that it makes me sick! we have forgotten about such things as tolerance and mindful interaction. all we care about is screaming from the top of our lungs that: we are armenians!!! but for the most part it means nothing for those who are the loudest.
i will marry anyone as long as the person respects my culture and is willing to admit that our children will be raised according to both armenian and other culture my future husband will belong to. my parents do not care either. the only thing that i wouldnt do is marrying a person who is not a christian. ethnicity and race do not matter to me.

in siple relationship ethnicy and race don't metter to me too. In sex i think everyone have preferences, for exemple i don't want to find me in bed with arabs or asians or blacks. But love is very conservative thing - i'm more jew, and i can love just jew one. I never was falled in love with other people. That's my opinion

Interestingly enough, I was at a family reunion of sorts last night and it made me realize how relevant this thread is. A good 40% of my family there was not pure Armenian. my Aunt Shoshik is half Israli, my Aunt Romi is half Persian and my Uncle Edo is half Assyrian. However, all three of them identify wityh being Armenian more than anything else, and THEY married other Armenians (even though their parents didn't) and they now have kids who are raised completely Armenian that all have Armenian Boyfriends/Girlfriends of their own. Just thought that was interesting.
On the subject of not wanting to Marry an Armenian boy, that always frustrated me cause I'm dealing with the same thing with my cousin Melody. She's always quick to bring up how much she hates Armos and doesn't even want to be friends with them, blah blah blah, that the men are garbage. It frustrates me because what does that say about ME, what does it say about my father (her uncle), what does it say about our numerous cousins who are finishing up college and starting good lives with their wives and stuff? Armenian girls who say they can't stand Armenian men will always get on my nerves because they tend to look at the bad and not the good. No one's saying go marry some rabiz Grant High School drop out."All I know is I'm not a Marxist." -Karl Marx

I have always been attracted to armenian guys. Yes they do stupid things, so do the million other men in this world and the million other women in this world. Because we are in this culture we notice our faults easly. Plus many think only Armenians behave a certain way. When in fact that is not true. Anyways what I was tring to say is I agree with hyejinx.
Second, just because there are "rabiz" Armenian guys does not mean all of them are rabiz. And just because many Armenian guys are traditional, it doest not mean they are rabiz. People forget that as well and many times confuse the two.
Okei dokei...enough with this thread! You can't hold a man down without staying down with him.
