Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • I am a history major for this reason, pal. And no scholar or any little piece of evidence says or points to what that passage says and you cannot stomach that that is why you threatened me up there earlier with negative labels.

Uhhh ARMENIA= a foreign title from an OUTSIDE source. We are "Hayastan" which means if translated: Land of Hyes which has various sources that imply the "Aryan-man."

    • Looks like I'm going to break my promise to stop talking to you...

First of all you're obsessed with this notion of me saying Armenians are Vikings which is something I never said and you have to learn to read better. I said Viking-LIKE, which the Armens were. Viking-Like meaning nomadic sailors that would go from one region to another (I don't know if they were conquerors like the Norse Vikings were) before settling in Armenia.

      • The mixture of Armens with the indigenous Hayasa eventually produced the Armenian people as it is known today" Those tribes are all ETHNICALLY STILL ARMENIAN.

Is it me or that little line there makes no sense at all. Hayasa= Hye which is what we are. We are MIXED with what we are?

See this source lacks validity the same way the source provider lacks logic to preach it. He does this because he likes hearing this noble achievement.

Yea your thoughts and words do not correspond. AND YOU SAID exactly the opposite.

You are taking this whole thing and twisting it all around to making it what you LIKE to hear or what it ought to be. That again will serve us no good and does nothing but taint history more than it already is.

You got that website from Woodrow Wilson sponsored presses. This guy was the same guy who thought the capital of China was PEKING when it was Beijing and he just consistently kept printing it on U.S. maps as that till some angry Chinese monk wrote him a letter. And you are telling me you trust that? HAhaha.

            • Bottomline: We are not middle eastern nor will we ever be something we were plundered by and we are as WHITE as it gets.

No Armenians is really "pure' and yes ARMENIAN title of and in it of itself is pure but the people are not anymore.

Those dark-complected Armenians with the "olive skin" and dark black curley hair should say something to you. That is proof that there was a mix somewhere down the 5000 years of history we as people have had. One of us got mixed with the dark skinned and dark gene people, possibly either the Persians or Arabs or Turks. One of those Asians mixed in and or converted and became "Armenianized." For further information, Anonymouse will tell you the rest of the history of such hidden crucial aspects of our people that he did deeper investigation on e.g. Armenian Jews and Others that were all naturalized as "Armenians" in our ancient culture.

              • For your information, my "ara ara" pirate with a speedy computer that consists of only the letters "A_R_M_E_N_I_A_N" on it friend, I will never lower or backstab my people in front of other non-Armenians nor will I put-down their prestige to seemingly "fit in." If that is what helps you cope with your errors then sure believe that but I was not. I COULD CARE LESS if you or anyonr else "keeps a promise" that they arbitrarily make up or not, nevertheless insult me with without any valid reason. I am a history major hence why I am very passionate about this and frankly I don't need other people to tell me what I already have said and known about me or what I maybe interested in.

My best advice to all in any matter where you are all too overwhelmed or confused about: Don't seek other people's approvals of yourself.

                • See all of which we know of today and speak of really is about only the tenth centuries up till 1 A.D. about Armenians. It even clearly states even on that skewed website that misspells 'today's' where you proudly claim to seek validation for your sources or information, it says that the Persians all come into the picture around the 500s BC and 550 BC they conquer Armenia and give it their own little title, that is AFTER Urartu fell to the Scythians.

What about in 3000 BC? The language and people with each invasion simultaneously altered, as we speak. Did we still have "persian" or any non-aryan languages then? It was a tribal society till around the 800s when the Nairi formed then slowly after years of bloodshed and conquering, the tribes all united and became one "Armenia." But before all of this Armenia was never a nation it was a separate divided up split tribal society among those groups which you mentioned: Nairi, Armen, Haiks.

                  • Those even still as of today the "Hayk and Bel" legend which is similar to Romulus and Remus of Rome. There is no source of actual physical evidence for all of this stuff, and by you asserting that it just complicates it more as privy as these things are.

                    • The "viking-like" tribe is only defined through "Armen' since it is a mythical term that Armenians are likely to recognize more. The idea and entity you are inferring about is really the ARYANS and their movement began where present day Armenia is around 1300 BC (though it is not certain), thus serving as the source of the Aryan movement. They settled in various parts of the world led by a warrior-elite with lighter complexions and settled everywhere introducing new tools with weaponry and ways of life.
