Yes seeing that those are LIVE and REAL people doing it yes it makes it a fact. And my statements about those girls are not from just profiles and if you had any clue of what you were saying you would not say that. I HAVE SEEN all of which I have said about the happen.

Aaaaaand, what you're failing to see is that I can say the same exact thing. I WITNESSED my immediate and extended family go through all this, and as I stated, with the exception of our own family, and maybe one other, the rest of my dozens of relatives live in South Cali, so they're not part of the....."suburban back alleys of Anglo Chicago". So along with their personal experiences comes what they're witness to, as well. And then there's all the other Armenians that live in your neck of the woods that I keep referring to I've chatted with, with their personal stories, and what they've witnessed. These are all WITNESSES, these are not notions, or opinions. You keep ignoring this while focusing and claiming my opinions are based off of my immediate family, only, or off of someone else's opinions. That's why the following makes no sense:

How in the hell do you gather that when I've stated time and time again that my opinion is based on MY personally experiences as well as testimonials (not notions or opinions) of others??? And I can't believe you just referred to me conforming again after I just said how ridiculous of a statement that is about me of all people. It's obvious that your argument has gone downhill in a hurry if you're going to start accusing an agnostic individual who questions our own existence of conforming and putting faith in other's opinions.

I would certainly hope not, as I haven't truly engaged in bashing of anyone on here...well...except for Wise....but that guy was beyond idiotic, and had no actual points to debate with intellect. Insults are the first indication that one has run out of ammo, and has reached desparation in trying to keep the adversary from taking the war. I'm merely trying to get to the bottom of why you keep misunderstanding how I came to my opinion, or putting words in my mouth, and most importantly, why you would ever accuse me of conforming to notions from anybody about anything.

Strange coming from you. Living in a complete denial I see. You seem as you have never encountered such mentality in anyone you know. It's beyond me how you don't understand such common mindset, I guess it's a matter of conditioning yourself not to see anything around you that might falter your "safety net".

Strange is hardly what I would call it. I don't know why all of you have this "need" with somehow castigating and constantly haranguing Armenian culture as some evil. Criticism is okay, it is healthy, but what some of you take this to is beyond criticism, to your own personal fetishisms. Strange that you would think that I would equate a girl looking at another guy equal to her being a 5lut. The fact that some of the girls in this age of prurient interests think that way, only reflects their perverted minds, for no guy here said so. And the only Armenians that I have encountered doing so are the peasant villager rabies types, which is a marginal amount. If some of you don't like Armenian men, or don't like Armenian culture, to both the guys and girls included since lately I've seen alot of this "I'm too unqiue" mentality that somehow Armenian culture is this all-encompassing evil, then please don't whine just stop complaining and date odars, there's lots of nice ones out there too that I'm sure will be willing to play as palm pilots made for your pockets.

For Ryan and Mousy: My views are always based on taking personal observations, not just "text book" facts, to formulate an opinion. That is the difference between intelligence, and just having a good memory, aka memorizing stats and sticking strictly to "text book" knowledge. Did it ever occur to you guys that studies are just as susceptible to tainting? Depends who conducted the study, who's paying for/supporting it, ect. Plus the people participating in the study are more than capable of just flat out lying about the information they're giving out. I would MUCH rather form opinions off of what I see and can validate as opposed to a study in which, I know none of the participants, or what the circumstances surrounding the study were.

Not that any of this matters now, as this conversation has gone to hell in a ham and cheese sammich.

Apparently in your paranoid matrix-style world where everything is a "social construct" designed to deceive us and there is no truth aside from what we believe or think, reality is seemingly a very scary place, and there is no truth as the post-modern dictum would have us believe. Those proponents of "text book facts" are nothing more than sneaky and desperate people engaging in acts of subterfuge. In your version of events there is no objective truth or reality since everything is somehow in some way, shape, or form, "tainted". There is no use in arguing for you, for why are you even bothering to engage in a discussion if the only thing that we "know for certain" is what we believe we know?

Ummmm.....good summary. To answer your question at the end: Usually, when I'm engaged in "arguments", it's to dislodge the blockage that is preventing the flow of free thought up to your mind. I'm hoping some people will see that you can bend and break some of the rules to the program. Free thinking does not mean you can't have ideas, which are different than concrete beliefs.

For example, let's look at the very thing you're attacking right now (my preference to form opinions off of what I see). Just because it's printed in a book and taught to you as fact, makes it a fact? How is taking the word of books and studies any different than taking the word of public "notion and opinions"? It's not, much like the way an athiest's belief in god not existing, and evolution being responsible for where we came from is actually a belief in itself. Most people don't think of such things in this context.

Just look at the survey I posted in the abortion thread for an example. I noted that those were averages that were taken from several studies put together. There were some pretty hefty descrepencies in a lot of the data from one study to the next. Why is that the case if there's a set truth out there to discover through studies? Shouldn't the results have been closer if there's one, universal true answer? Maybe there is, but you will never truly discover what that truth is through a study, and the reasons for that have NOTHING to do with agreeing in the "matrix-style" world philosophy. Those results varied because, as I said, it all depends on who is conducting the study, what their motives and objectives are, what area they were taken in, the percentage of the people participating in the survey that lied, etc. Too many variables. Is that so hard to understand or think would cause a doubt?

Mousy, you can spend the rest of your life coming across contradicting studies, info, documentaries, surveys, etc, just as I have. Which one are you going to believe, and how will you determine the reasons for picking that one? It doesn't matter weather you agree with the "Matrix-style" philosophy or not; if you haven't realized that this world is full of lies and deception, and that those lies and deceptions know no boundaries in their outward extension and reach, then you're in for a rude awakening. You don't have to be as extreme as me to discover just how sick and deep the tendancy to lie goes. As long as the world revolves around attention, money and power, nothing is sacred, not even your precious text book and studies.
