Yes I guess your right...I obviously have no clue whatsoever why anyone would specify the only acceptable career field of a future spouse ( Can't imagine me ever in my life saying - I plan to marry an airline stewardess etc...though maybe not a bad idea eh - free flights and all - nice reason for choosing a future life partner eh?) - but yes, baffles me completely...perhaps its something to do with a family illness and you cannot afford treatment - donnoh really....

Any MD, and I would never marry someone to get something specific from him. Not to mention I dont plan to marry THAT soon.Originally posted by winomanYes I guess your right...I obviously have no clue whatsoever why anyone would specify the only acceptable career field of a future spouse ( Can't imagine me ever in my life saying - I plan to marry an airline stewardess etc...though maybe not a bad idea eh - free flights and all - nice reason for choosing a future life partner eh?) - but yes, baffles me completely...perhaps its something to do with a family illness and you cannot afford treatment - donnoh really....

My father's family had MDs (he is an engineer lol), and I have a special attraction to it probably from that. I always picture my husband as an MD. I cant say for sure that it will come true of course. I may fall in love with someone else. Its just something I think about.

hyebruin, I reserve my right to post and I posted a comment to share my opinion about your post. Don't be so bitter just because you've come face to face with a male that's a bit smarter than you and stop hating on me.
And to relate this to one of your other posts about me (AGAIN) [I think she likes me..LOL] <= a JOKE!!! I think only a drama queen could come up with a topic like this. Just my opinion that I felt free to share. Don't accuse me of hijacking stuff. Don't want to answer to any FBI agents...LOL <= ALSO A JOKE!

Plan? So you are going to make a painstaking effort to meet, fall in love with, and marry a doctor?! Please do get back to us on how well this works out for you. I bet though, many many years from now if you turn to your then-husband, who may well be a physician of some sort, and tell him that you actually said this oh so many years ago, he'd probably be as flabbergasted as I am at the moment and not too happy to hear that, you can bet! You know, maybe you just used the wrong word or something. I can understand if someone says that they appreciate and find very attractive the attributes of a man (or woman) who had the strength and abilities, mental and emotional, to get through medical school and residencies and all the things that come along with the journey to becoming a doctor. I can understand if that is what draws you to a person of this particular profession because it takes everything in you to follow your dream and become something that demands so much time and schooling, as does becoming a doctor. I can understand if you say you like the good you see in a person who goes through all that to get to where they are, etc... Maybe these are all the things that are attractive to you and that you want in a mate, maybe you just used the wrong words (I sure hope so, because to say 'planning' to marry a particular type of person based on profession just sounds so wrong to me, too calculated!), that would make what you said more understandable and easier to swallow.Originally posted by ArmoBarbiI actually plan to marry an Armenian MD.Last edited by ckBejug; 02-25-2005, 11:45 AM.The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. -- F. Yeah, that's why I think - hope - she just said something that came out wrong... You can sure as hell bet that when I have that prefix to my name ... Dr... if I am seriously dating someone and he says that he always wanted to marry a doctor I'd be none too pleased about it. grrr.Originally posted by spiralWell, if it makes you feel any better, she did mention that it's not for the money.

Anyways, I plan to marry a billionaire, if that doesn't work out, I'll settle for a millionaire.

As for you missy, I hear Bill Gates is in the market for a mistress...
