Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Sadly, I live in America... I had an assignment to write a persuasive essay about a topic that is important to me, and I chose the federal government and its abuse of power, but more specifically concentrating on the war of Iraq. When I get home, I'll post it in a separate thread... I think you'll like it since it trashes George Bush! lol

i don't think that americans are disliked THAT much. I know that a few morons from the world have problems with America but that doesn't mean that most people hate Americans and whoever hates Americans with that kind of stereotyping is a racism moron anyway. Every government has done bad things (all governments have at least a certain amount of corruption) but that does not mean that the citizens are bad people. It's this kind of racist thinking that destroys peace in this world. But I think that it is also an innate human instinct to dislike a whole group of people even though only a small group of people did something bad. It's not a good instinct but it's there anyway.

P.S. Gizzy, I don't mind writing this here. I think that people were going to get off topic anyway but, if you want, we can write in a different post. I'm very interested to hear what everyone has to say.

Is there actually any nation with no problem with the other? Is there any country that had never been in war? The answer is no... and its sad that people dont realize we are all the same... All of us hurt when cut with a knife, all of us cry for the lost, all of us want more money, all of us want to be happy...however not all of us try not to hurt others when trying to solve our problems...Ignorance causes pain, pain brings hatret. Hatret is ignorance coz it doesnt bring any good...Only thing that it brings is more pain, more violence and even more hatret...Its like a cycle....Untill we learn to distinguish the true evil, there is no end to this cycle...

I think now its right time to look through my pink glasses!!!
All of us share the earth, share the air, share the water...etc Why dont we share it equal? There is enough for us all... why does some live in luxury (anybody watch MTV cribs?) while some cant even find a piece of bread...Why only thing we share are borders? We are all human and we are all the same...We all want the same things...All of us want to live good and long... Why not help each other out and make the world a better place for us all...Now I remove my pink glasses...but still, I desire to see everything pink...

        summary>>>we are all bad! ^^

I didn't you had a bit of "communist" in you

That was quite a rant u went on there.... and your question of "why" can't be answered easily...by thought is below..... and i think the biggest problems in the world are because of Christianity,Islam, and Judeism.....

We're not all the same.... biologically yes we're the same... but pshychologically and socially we're not the same.... some people because of the way they were nurtured are raised differently (sometimes opposite ends of the spectrum).....

          More peacful
          More inelectual
          More bellicose (Turks )
          More religeous
          etc etc......

my plan for living in a utopia is finding people who are like me and building a small community miles away from anylarge citie. I think USA is my best bet....

Any laid back people who want to join my community?.... (sorry, no Turks (and by turks I mean, you were raised in Turkey and you claim A-town (allah)) i'm sorry but my intuition will not allow me to trust you lot.... untill you prove me wrong by contributing to the world somehown (in a possitive mannar)......

You are absolutely right. maybe if everyone realized that, we would be making the world a better place instead of building and learning how to make better weapons to try and kill eachother.

As for the whole "we are all bad!"----Or we are really ignorant and selfish beings

Since we're talking about governments and stuff, I posted my persuasive essay assignment about the U.S. government's abuse of power and its specific issue of the war with Iraq. So, if you want to read it, please click here.

Unfortunately not only "a few moron" or radicals but an important proportion of the world including ordinary people hates, or at least dislikes US and (unfortunately) Americans. I said unfortunately because my idea is that thre is no "good nation" or "bad nation" but the governments. So one doesnt have to hate all Americans because of the US politics. bUt this is the actual situation. In Turkey there is a rising dislike (not hatred) towards US. And I observe the same at Europe. 3 months ago I made a long trip from London to Rome, Munchen, Brussels and Bratislava. Everywhere when I chat with people about world affairs I sense the same.Maybe you can not observe your reality from there but it is true.
People do not dislike Americans only because they attack everywhere and kill people to gain more power (oh sorry, you call it as war against terrorism )
But also people do not like the rising effect of the "American culture" everywhere. This profound and intellectual culture of America is surrounding more and more every part of the world with Hollywood films, Mcdonalds, etc.
In USA you are teached that everyone in the world admire USA, USA is a some kind of heaven, center of the democracy and civilisation, bla bla bla...
People also dislike this behaviour, stupid and absurd arrogance of Americans. You can not observe your own reality inside USA.

Sorry to interrupt your "peace heaven" utopia but this is the exact definition of the thing what we call as xenophobia. And this creates the thing what we call racism.

Nice essay, you surprised me this time. Finally some people are awaking and start to understand what they are doing. How many percent of the US population support this thesis nowadays?

A turk chastising someone for being racist is like a hooker criticizing someone for lack of morals.
