Gary Payton still in LA, his kids are in school here and he's out and about in the Woodland Hills and Calabasas area...what a spoof letting him go. I love the guy.

Yeah, no kidding. I'd love to have Bobbitt's shooting, but with the way Cook is hitting from range, and with Rush healthy again, I think you have to go with playmaking, and Tierre Brown is getting the job done right now. He looks like Tony Parker if Tony Parker could play under control. Bobbitt will be a nice addition to any team that needs shooting, though.
I'll say one thing for sure. I didn't expect the team to look this good. Granted, they're playing against scrubs, but they're rolling, and their scrubs are way better than the opponents scrubs. This will be a deep team - possibly the most talent one-twelve of anybody. I still think they'll struggle early, but look for them to really come on in the second half, maybe even snag homecourt in the first round.
Even aside from the guard situation, though, who makes the twelve-man roster? Let's say they keep five guards (Atkins, Brown, Vujacic, Bryant, and Rush). Obviously Vlade, Mihm, Grant, Odom, Butler, and Cook are in. That's already eleven guys! George will be on the IR, so who else stays? They have to choose between Luke Walton, Slava, and Jumaine Jones. I'd say Jones based on the way he's been balling in the preseason, but Walton and Slava both had nice years last year. I guess Slava might start out on the IR as well, but they've got too many good players.Last edited by loseyourname; 10-26-2004, 09:14 AM.

Seattle, Phoenix, Utah have surprised me in getting a good quick start...i wonder when they will start to bust...or when they will get a harder schedule...Clips have done good so far, if Jaric stays consistant for once.
But it's early, good teams are getting their teams back from injuries. 73 more games to go...
