Detroit did a good job of making a february trade to up their roster, and a great job at going through teams hobbled with injuries that helped them coast to the finals.

2004 NBA Finals was a great script directed by the officials.

For those who hate the Lakers, I hope you're enjoying a varouk up y'alls as$es. And for those true and faithful fans, it was a great season, a cinderella season where we weren't expected to come this far in the midst of our tough times.

      See you in October.
Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the stupid Faker fans also burn xxxx down in LA? Stop being biased, your team got owned and you can't admit they sucked. They were outplayed in every facet of the game. Sit your sorry ass down.

      • Wow. So who are the fanatics again?

This reminded me a lot of that super bowl a couple years back between the Rams and Patriots. A very underrated, great defensive team that came on strong late in the season comes in and beats a heavily favored opponent that had been a powerhouse for several years. The only difference is that that super bowl was actually a good game. The Lakers were completely dominated in this series. They finally just completely failed to show up. It's ironic the way it ended up hurting them to get Karl Malone and Gary Payton. With Fisher hurt and Payton ineffective, they had no backup to turn to. With Karl and Horace Grant hurt, same thing. The least they would have had was Robert Horry, and maybe they would have picked up 'Sheed if they hasn't signed Malone in the offseason. Oh well - it was a failed experiment, but one they had to make. On paper, this team looked like one for the ages. Mitch Kupchak did his job well. This loss, unlike last year's, is not on him.

So should we expect riots in LA and Toronto?

        • No, there is nothing to riot about and if they riot, they should all be shot for being stupid.

I've never understood disliking one team more than you like your own team. This board is nothing compared to another one I go to. You would think that all the posters had won the lottery the way they were celebrating. I was hoping the Lakers would win just because idiots like that wouldn't have a chance to be joyful.

I thought last offseason would be interesting but this year should easily outdo it.
