- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Defense is a question mark. Rudy T has never been the greatest defensive coach, so I wouldn't expect them to use any of the elaborate schemes that San Antonio and Detroit use. Payton will have his playing time and will be allowed to go head to head with other points, so we'll he if he was telling the truth last season when he said he could shut them down if he was put in with them consistently. We know Kobe can shut down the opponents top scorer and Karl (if they resign him) showed that he can at least slow and bother guys like KG and TD when he's at full strength. Vlade won't have anyone to guard anyway, so I wouldn't worry about him, and I know Lamar Odom can play D when he has to. He has long arms and quick feet, so he should be able to clog the passing lanes and get steals and blocks in help situations. They don't have a shot blocker, so they'll need to get a lot of steals to start their fast break. The main problem I can see is that they don't have anyone on the bench that can play great D, although I think Devean George is a good team defender and Kareem Rush is showing improvement.

The offense should be one of the most versatile out there. GP can still post up the smaller, quicker point guards he's matched with, nobody in the league can match up with either Odom or Kobe one on one, so I'll expect a lot of isolations and pick-and-rolls involving those two. They won't get a lot of scoring down low, but they should get a lot of layups off of back-door cuts by George, Butler, Kobe, Lamar, and Rush when either Vlade or Karl get the ball in the post. I think those are the two best passing big-men in the game right now, and they could both be in the same starting lineup. They'll be very exciting to watch. I even think Kareem Rush has the potential to be an instant-offense off the bench guy like Michael Redd was a couple of years ago, and I'm eager to see what Brian Cook can do with playing time if he stays healthy. The one very positive thing I see in this team is that they have a lot of smart guys. Except for Slava, they're all pretty-good decision makers. They should execute very well; it all depends on Rudy T.

I like hearing people say that our defense wont be there. GP, Kobe, Karl, Lamar Odom, Caron, Vlade, Grant are all exceptional defensive players.

The offense will be very exciting and as you said versitlile, probably the most versitile in the A. Odom can post up as well, he has a nice way of finding creases in the defense to attack and slither just as well as Kobe. But we have to hit our shots, period. As a team we have to average about 42-43% shooting.

We saw Devean get great looks and plays from cuttting and slashing thru feeds from Shaq and Karl, and who else better to feed him than Vlade and Karl, the 2 best passing big men in the game.

Rudy T is a offensive coach, and a great players coach that will bring out the natural talents and be successful. But we are UNDERESTIMATING his defensive coaching.

Frank Hamblen is back on staff as an assistant and he is the defensive guru. Along with with Gurcic (sp?) which is probably the top player development, and B Shaw working with the younger players on running and attacking...im telling ya...we will be better than expected...

It scares me to say that we will be better than last year...

I like your optimism, but still, I can see them struggling against bigger teams defensively, Vlade is still Vlade but a bit older, Grant is short for a player like Duncan, Odom is good and getting better, Kobe ok he's great, and GP has slowed down. If they do focus on Defense and somehow end up in the top 7 or 8 teams on D, a 55 win seosen can be obtained, but as of right now i think 48 is more realistic, barring any moves.

Word on the wire is that, with Kerry Kittles and Kenyon Martin both being dumped for nothing, Jason Kidd wants to be traded, either to the Spurs, Mavs, or Lakers.

How about Gary Payton, Rick Fox, and Devean George for Kidd? That would be $10 million off their cap at the end of next year, plus a young athletic slasher who's a decent perimeter shooter and is playoff tested. New Jersey could aim for the lottery and pick up someone like that Shakur kid from Arizona in the draft to replace Kidd, and have the money to go after Yao Ming or Amare Stoudemire when they move to Brooklyn.

Why would you want his bad contract on the books, I'd rather wait and get a big man in 2007.

Yeah, you're probably right. The Lakers need a pass-first point guard who can hit a three, but they don't need another superstar or another big contract. Still, the thought of Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, and Caron Butler running a fast break, with Karl Malone or Kareem Rush trailing is enough to give me wet dreams.

How about this starting lineup three years from now:

PG: Sasha Vujacic (6'7", great passer/ballhandler, unlimited range)
SG: Kobe Bryant (could very well be the best player the game has ever seen by then)
SF: Caron Butler (if they can keep him without breaking the bank)
PF: Lamar Odom (not a man in the league can match up with him)
C: Dwight Howard (if he turns out to be what Orlando thinks he will be, he could be the 2nd great Magic center to defect to LA)

                  or

C: Emeka Okafor (do you really think he'd rather stay in Charlotte?)

Now imagine that team running up and down the floor. Even if they can't keep Butler after his contract runs out, they can start Kareen Rush at the 2 and move Kobe up to the 3.

Odom won't be a 4 with the Lakes...
and the Lakes will not go for an undersized 5...

Personally, I think they should find a way to get Charlie Villanueva next summer. Put him in with Vujacic, Kobe, and Lamar, and you've got two guys that are 6'7" and two guys that are 6'11". You can easily stand to have a 6'10" center (like Okafor) who can rebound and block shots like a madman. I can see him controlling the middle in 2007/08 and sending outlet passes to those four, running up and down the floor, throwing alley-oops and draining threes. I'd rather have a talented center than a big center, and frankly, I can't think of anyone else that will be out there, unless Chris Kaman or maybe Darko Milicic turns into a monster.
