Vanderlei Silva is not the best Pride Fighter. He may be the best fighter in his weight class, but we saw what happens when he fights someone above his weight (Mark Hunt). There is no way Vanderlei can hang with the top heavyweights such as Fedor Emelianenko, Rodrigo Noguiera, or Josh Barnett. Silva will be fighting Mirko CroCop (a heavyweight) in the upcoming open weight Grand Prix. Now, they have fought before and it was a draw, but now CroCop is familiar with the Mixed Martial Arts game and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I am also a fan of Vanderlei Silva as he is one of the superb fighters in the sport, hands down. However, his record is actually 31 - 5 - 1.

You must be a newbie to the world of Mixed Martial Arts. In case you didn't know I have been following this sport since the early 90s when it went public.

Second, I have seen everyone of Vanderlei Silva's fights and no he is not the best fighter in the world. He has several losses and all to top notch fighters. Furthermore, there is no way Silva can defeat the current heavyweights that I named, Barnett, Nogueira and Fedor, hell, even Arona beat Silva.

You must be a newbie to the world of Mixed Martial Arts. In case you didn't know I have been following this sport since the early 90s when it went public.

Second, I have seen everyone of Vanderlei Silva's fights and no he is not the best fighter in the world. He has several losses and all to top notch fighters. Vanderlei is scheduled to fight CroCop in the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix Finals in September. The two have fought before when CroCop just came to MMA transitioning from K-1. CroCop is a world class striker so when he fought Vanderlei, it was a draw, mostly because Vanderlei kept going for takedowns and CroCop was unfamiliar with the ground game. However, CroCop has learned alot since then and that was about 5 or 6 years ago. So it will be an interesting match.

Vanderlei also fought Mark Hunt, another K-1 heavyweight and lost a split decision I believe.

Silva also fought Belfort, and Tito Ortiz and lost to both, albeit a very long time ago and Silva has progressed since then. He also more recently fought Ricardo Arona and lost a decision to him. All this shows that Vanderlei, while one of the best, is not the best. The best fighter at this point is Fedor Emelianenko, with only one loss that he has avenged, he is 23-1. I suggest you see his record and the quality of opponents he has fought.

Yo man thanks i saw both videos they were both good..I just started watching UFC so i dont know do you know the next Vanderlei Silva or Fedor Emelianenko fight......Thank you very much..
