Re: Improving the Forum
hmm.. this discussion has been intriguing. For instance, we could simplify it as most have suggested. however, the issue of hundreds of topics would still appear, just under those simplified categories. For instance, under "General Talk" would be all the not political/historical etc, and members who feel this forum should be more discussion-orientaed towards the other material could simply completely skip over that section. The problem is, in order for mods to better be able to do their part is the nuisance of now having to create more sub-forums. This in itself is a major pain.
Primarily though, a lot of users aren't following the forum's rules stipulated. this causes problems for everyone.

Re: Improving the Forum
I agree with Siggie on this. We discuss so many different things that we need lots of threads and people will feel more inclined to participate if they can make threads according to the present rules.

Re: Improving the Forum
A forum can always be improved but I am OK with the way Hyeclub is....well it might be nice if the guys could imbed videos in the NKR thread but other than that hyclub rocks in my book.

It's only as useful as we make it though by sticking to topics and creating threads in the right place to begin with.
Essentially you are saying there is nothing wrong with the existing structure, and it is the members/participants fault for the state of the forum.

In fact I remember when I first joined the forum how daunting it was with hundreds of threads with similar heading and content.

Why not have a single thread "Help Sought by Compatriots" or whoever.
It will be easier for a newcomer.
