Okay folks... I'm trying out validating users manually. That should limit the spam, I hope. I suppose if I spend the same amount of time going through those as I do deleting spam, it'll be a wash as far as my time is concerned.

I have an idea, how about everytime a new member puts a link in his first 5 posts the message comes out " Siggie knows I am a spamer", or something like that.You can usually tell before they've even posted anything. I delete most spammers before they post at all. It's the ones in the evening and overnight that get by because I'm typically not on then.

Yes, we use both of those features. I'll consider it... I just hate for people to have to wait until I can review their posts or approve their membership.
