  • Problems accessing forum

I'm having problems accessing the forum - unless I use a proxy. It's sending me to a page called MegaStats Live or something. This started a coupla minutes ago. It was working fine after the "maintenance" yesterday.

    Admin / mods? Anyone?

Yea that's what I did, well similar.

I went to run, msconfig, I went to the "start up" slot, disabled all, restarted.

But only for a short while... Now I'm getting the same page again. I don't know why.. I didn't even disconnect.. is it only me who's having this problem? Is it something that has to do with my IP or something? Cos I noticed that armenianclub.com relies on megastats for stats or something, so I figured it wasn't a problem with a trojan on my computer.. hmm. very weird. I don't know.. it's just a pain switching back and forth between proxy and no-proxy.. lol.. and to add to that, it's slowwwwww with a proxy, otherwise i wouldn't have bothered..

Do I have to keep doing this (flushing dns) to access the forum, or is it something temporary that you're working on fixing?

            Dan,

Earlier this morning I was having the same problem as you. I checked the forums again in the afternoon, and everything is just peachy. Maybe you should clear all your cookies or something? What do I know, you're the computer expert.

I tried clearing the history, temporary files, and cookies. Admin's suggestion worked for a while, and now it's back to point 0 again. I didn't try doing the same thing again, maybe if i do it will work, but do i need to keep on doing this the whole time?

I tried everything else, only setting a proxy works permanently.

I am clueless as to what seems to be the problem. But clearly, if others had this problem, it's not something on MY computer that's causing it.. So yea.. I don't know? And others are probably having the same problem, since there aren't that many people on the board today? Or maybe that's cos it's Sunday? lol, I don't know. But there haven't been that many posts during the past 2 days.. i don't know what's going on.. eh, what do i know.. i'm not at the other end of the website lol.

Anonymouse, what you did sounds pretty ahem unrelated to the problem, but did it fix it for you permanently?

is this a problem with everyones 6.0 explorer? a bug perhaps ?

it wasnt working for me earlier, but its all spiffy now.

                i hope it works again.
i keep getting a error page, or that the forum is being cleaned or whatever the message was before.

No, I don't think it's a problem with IE... I use Mozilla too, and it's not working on Mozilla either.

If you don't use a proxy, you will get this error when you visit a specific thread:

                  Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster

And if you visit the main forum page, you will be taken to megastats.com or something.

I don't know what seems to be the problem. It's weird. I've never encountered it before.

Yea, it did go to MegaStats on my comp also, but I just cleared the History/cookies and everything worked fine.

OK, As long as the problem is solved. It works now.....so there
                    I see...
