It isn't the worst thing in the world, and honestly I don't care if they do it in general talk as long as it doesn't turn into all out flame wars in every thread. But when you post in the serious forums, you should be serious.

By the way, since when did "excited" come to be synonymous with calling other people names? Passion can take forms other than anger.

Again - I fail to see where anything I posted on that thread merits anyone claiming that I am posting only (or even primarily or to any great extent) insults or such. I have posted factually and to further my position in every post. And - for the most part - I feel that the discussion on the thread was of merit in general and not deserving of being closed. If people disagree about somthing (and care) they are likely to argue. This is a forum - where ideas are exchanged and sometimes people will disagree - and thus (at times) argue (and perhaps take a swipe or two on occasion...often merited i might add...). I know that it must be a pain to be a moderator and have to monitor some of what is posted - but IMO - as long as it doesn't cross a line of crassness and such it should be OK - even if there are pointed disagreements. I do find it curious however that you seem to conviently intervene to bail out rat whenever it looks as if his silly prounoucements are being well put to the test.
