Just two days ago, Turkey started to transport Kurdish region's oil to the ports in Mediterranean for export. By 2013, Karamehmet (owner of Turkcell) will be making $1 Billion every year out of this agreement if things go fine. Do you think any Turkish businessman could've done this if Turkey did not keep SouthEastern regions within Turkish territory? The thing is whether we will be able to exploit much more advantages from Iraq which is in reconstruction era?
Excellent point.... but remember who invaded Iraq

Has anybody heard of these claims? I wonder if they have serious grounds for such claims?
They claim a lot of former Armenian land as theirs. Because there are some Ezidi Kurds living in Armenia some Kurds say that also some part of Armenia belongs to Kurds...

Kurds do that because they have no idea about history. Where Armenians used to live there are Kurds and Turks living now.

That should really be "Because there are some Yezidi living in Armenia, Kurds say those Yezidi are actually Kurdish. And they do this because they say exactly the same thing about Yezidi living in Turkey so that they can say those Yezidi-inhabited parts of Turkey belong to Kurds".

Yezidi are Kurdish they are just not Muslims like other Kurds. They speak Kurmanji (Kurdish) like the Kurds from Turkey and North West Iran. Yezidis escaped from other Kurds and Turks to Armenia and Georgia. Most Yezidis live in Mosul that is in North-Iraq.

That is what they say now, because they are fucked, and need every ally they can get. They're playing on our emotions by "apologizing", and being "sympathetic" to our cause and situation. But I PROMISE you, if they were ever to create a Kurdistan, we'll start seeing a very different tone. With their foot firmly planted in the ground, you'll see a lot wilder claims and demands, and a lot less sympathy and acknowledgment towards the Armenians for what they had done to us in the past. All they need is the power to push their true agenda forward, which is to "reclaim" the land that they think was there's (despite being nomads that never had a true homeland).

Very true. Btw, Armenian cities like Van, Erzurum, Igdir, Kars, Agri (Ararat) and Mus are full of Kurds now and they claim it as their land.

Here is a link that shows map of Turkey and Kurdistan.

Exactly. They are similar to Turks in that they think just because they have a population in a certain region, that region is theirs. Neither one has even a reference or mention in historic documentation, let alone a legitimate claim to any part of that region. If Greeks, Assyrians, Arabs, Persians, Lebanese, Armenians, etc. want to argue over what part of Anatolia is whose historically, they have some basis to do so, having all been there for thousands of years, and historically owning certain portions of it at one time, or another. But Turks? Kurds? Azeris? Get real. These are newly invented entities of modern history. They have no ancient history of their own, let alone "historic lands" to claim.
