Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Embarassing indeed.
Students are being subjected to wardrobe checks where police are looking for torn jeans, body piercings, black gloves, as well as any clothing that is pink and black.

They should have uniforms in school anyways. It's not a fashion show.

Re: That joke of a country called Armenia?

I really don't understand all the controversy here. Really who wants a culture that advocates Satanism and other pagan idiocy to grow among the youth, especially in Armenia where the youth is much more precious than youth in a bigger country. Every child counts. I'm not saying become a moral police, but at least try to dissuade children from taking part in sub-cultures that have to do with Satan - I mean really that's going over the line.

It seems also what's coming into this discussion is the approaching of Western/Hollywood culture on Armenian society. In my opinion, there are both good and bad things to take away from Western Culture (hollywood not so much), but at the same time it's hard for anyone to prevent that culture from permeating Armenia, as it's permeating the whole world. So we must accept this permeation, but we should also try to prevent the bad sides from coming in and let the good sides instead. And of course at the same time, never forget our Armenian culture, our Holy Church, and our Language. All of this should be more important than anything else, everything else is secondary in my eyes. Having Armenians appreciate their roots, their history, and want to better their country is the key.

What young Armenians need to be made to understand is that they can't have freedom without responsibility. Youth cultures have long been subverted by various, nefarious poltical forces and criminal elements. Whilst in todays, highly integrated and globalised world it's impossible to be completely insular. Armenia needn't allow misfits and deadbeats to undermine it's patriarchal order or sense of national cultural identity.

Yes, unfortunately (for us) being Armenian comes with an added responsibility compared to other nations (lucky bastards).

If you went out and asked those "young Armenians" they might say that they have no freedom, and their only responsibility is not to endanger the status of those in positions of political, religious, and criminal power.

It is quoted from the cdinsight report, which is derived from the Rollingstone report, which is based on the EurasiaNet report. The EurasiaNet wording is:
Yerevan public school students told EurasiaNet.org that police
routinely visit their schools now to check the bags of those students
who are wearing half-torn jeans, black gloves or other clothes in
pink and black, and who have body piercings - a look considered
                  typically emo.
My point being that with every succesive Chinese whisper of this story, Armenia gets to look sillier and sillier.

Here is what I gotta say.
First of all, bell-the-cat (rapist), who in the sh&t do you think you are to comment on the situation in Armenia. I think you better get back to spanking the monkey to porn, and make sure you're daughter isn't in any of them. You have so far made it clear that your entire mission is to degrade the image of Armenia.

I'll probably get banned for this, but it's worth it.
F&ck f@ggots, f&ck the emo, the goth, the whatever f&ck. Armenia doesn't need sissies, f@ggots, le$bians. We don't need political correctness, feminism, or whatever orther f@cked up political philosophy being cooked up by the western freaks.

We need strong minded people who'll be ready to fight for our continued freedom, carry on our traditions, language and customs, AND continue rebuilding our country.

So bell-the-cat. Do go back to m@sturbating your cats you pathetic piece of sh!t. You have no credibility here, so go back to your sh!thole and don't come out.

by by. See you all in a month

Levon in Kentucky, Armenia needs your sort like it needs the medical aftermath of a night with a Kentucky xxxxx and, given your location, you have evidently decided that Armenia doesn't need Levon - so why not shut your fat, ignorant, redneck mouth?
