Russian servicemen to climb Mount Aragats

YEREVAN.- Servicemen of the Russian military base deployed in Armenia will climb Mount Aragats as a part of their mountaineering trainings.

Training is conducted by experienced instructors. Within the framework of a special program, officers are studying mountain equipment, vehicles moving in the mountains, overcoming the steep slopes, ravines and water hazards, transportation of victims.

During the final stage of the course, Russian officers will climb one of the peaks of Mount Aragats, the maximum height of which is 4,000 meters.

Mount Aragats is the highest mountain in the territory of modern Armenia.

You know for a guy from London you have a big mouth. You keep talking the sheet but you miss a step here and there. You simply don’t know Kohar do you? Just what is you aim really? To knock everything down? You sure seem to be good at it! From knocking our chicks down (who joined the right army by the way) to our famous orchestra that is now “commercial” It seems that not even our Music is good enough for one reason or another. Of course we know you have a justification for this too, that is why you are voting for Devilbelig for president of Armenia...LOL

Let me tell you I do not know Kohar Orchestra but I “know” Sebuh Abkarian who is the conductor and artistic leader of the Orchestra.

I know him because he was my teacher in the 60s at the Melkonian Institute in Cyprus.
One of the hallmarks of the Institute was the emphasis it put on Armenian culture and Armenian history.
I might also add that he was a much loved and respected teacher for his artistic work as well as running the School Orchestra.

You have put there “Hoy Nazar Yare”.
That presentation of about a 3-5 years ago in Istambul.
As a matter of fact it is almost an identical presentation he did in my days. First time I heard it on the utube it was very emotional for me.

I grew up in an environment where English, Greek, Turkish, Arabic as well as Armenian music existed.
From childhood I could distinguish which is which. Obviously you cannot.

My comments was not regarding the capability of the orchestra which is great but the way the Armenian culture was distorted in the name of popularity.
It took me quite a while to identify the song , still confused.

Let me give you an example, we love and respect our Army for the tasks it does which is to protect our borders.
God forbid, if that same Army tried to run the country through a military coup and a junta because it had the capability, our feeling towards the Army would be very different.

I will put down your comment to your ignorance, be it about me, Armenian History or Armenian Culture.

I have come across many idiots who do not know what they are talking about but will always shout “ketze Hayastan” to give themselves some patriotic credibility.
In London we call that bullsh.it.
