While the aircraft itself may look cool, it would seem that the Iranians are either seriously cutting some corners, or are just making this for propaganda, and the fighter itself is little more than a shell.

The airspeed indicator also redlines at 250 knots which is too slow.

Stepanakert Airport is ready to function.

Due to the threats to civilian flights security issues are being considered.

If the Azeri are stupid enough to carry out their threat a decisive response would have to be given including possibility of a war be it limited or not.

It would make sense to be outside the election period with a new ( or re-elected ) President during this risky period.

Eddo I think everyone is looking at this the wrong way. I believe this to be the new version of Iran's sea plane. Forget jet fighter, stop thinking of it's top speed, at 250 knots it is more then fast enough as a low flying craft. Also consider what it might be replacing in the video below. Look at the short fat wings on that, and now look at the new design, they learned a thing or two. Having it land based means that they can improve it's shape without having to worry about landing it and making it float on the water. However this thing is going to replace the sea plane in the role.

Like a new small ekranoplan but it does not take off from the water. At least that is what I believe this to be, it's the only thing that makes sense. If taken in this respect this is one hell of a performer, no wonder it does not have radar! It will be flying low, it is going to be stealthy as is at that level, in addition if they got the coatings from the downed American drone, well! Also take a look at the front of the older model, it is almost the same type of xxxxpit as before.

As far as the shaking and bouncing you see in the video my thinking is that the platform it's on is not stable, on to of the fact that it is a light plane. It will faster, better, quitter then what it is replacing. There is a portion of the video when they stop the thing from spinning and you can see the thing rock back and forth. This also in my view is the reason why the air intakes are small, and they are on the topside, reduce the splash from sea waves. Let me know,I know you know more then me with aerodynamics.

I think the bigger issue is Turkey that has threatened to close its airspace to all flight to/from Armenia if Stepanakert airport goes into operation.
azeris are nothing compared to Turks.

Vahram as far as I can see that photo of the instrument panel is not of a jet aircraft but a propeller driven aircraft, it is not just the speed but the markings on the airspeed indicator.....The Iranian new domestically supersonic fighter bomber's panel and instruments will look different so it must be a mistake if someones claims that it is. Also the Qaher-313 (conqueror) aerodynamics is not of a sea plane but a fast nimble air superiority fighter (Iranian style).
