            The end result for Artsakh?

Armenian Army will be told to leave all areas surrounding Artsakh.
            Armenia will keep kelbajar/lachin.
Artsakh will be given independence or join Armenia as another marz.

Do I agree with the above? yes its a good deal for peace. Of course it has to happen in stages - First Recognition of Artsakh.

If you have been following the events around Karabagh as well as the position of Azerbaijan you should not have missed the fact that none of the above is likely to happen.

Azerbaijan was offered quite a lot of concessions at one of the International conferences, do not remember the place.
It declined to accept because they wanted (and want) all of Karabagh ........... OR NOTHING.

            Therefore they will get NOTHING.

As recent events have shown, Azerbaijan flirts with the idea that they can achieve their goals through military means.
            They have been unsuccessful.

However, to us it has shown the vulnerabilities of our borders the way they are, defence wise.

I think our political and military leaders' agenda should be that and nothing else.

            PS.
No government can survive doing a U-turn on a 20 year position regarding a state doctrine.
The Sultan will not do a U-turn now. Only .... maybe in his grave.

            .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

US Embassy helps make Armenia border more secure

              Theme: Politics

In a ceremony at the Armenia Border Guard headquarters, US Ambassador Richard M. Mills Jr., joined by National Security Service Deputy Director Lieutenant General Arzuman Harutyunyan and Border Guard Troops Commander Major General Armen Abrahamyan, inspected equipment from the US Government that will assist the border guards in keeping weapons of mass destruction, biological hazards, and other threats from crossing Armenia’s borders.

The equipment includes a multi-media lab that will be used in training Armenian border guards and other tools that will enhance the ability of border guards to control the flow of sensitive exports across the board and strengthen Armenia’s borders against transnational threats.

This assistance is part of the US Government’s comprehensive nonproliferation programs that strengthen the ability of the Armenian Government to effectively counter transnational threats from international crime, arms smugglers, and risks from weapons of mass destruction. The United States and Armenia are working together toward common goals of democracy, security, and peace, both in Armenia and in the region.

Over the past ten years, the US Embassy has partnered with various ministries and agencies to develop Armenia’s border security capacity. Leading the US Embassy’s efforts in Armenia are the Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) program, the Defense Threat Reduction Office (DTRO), and Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC).

“Our border security cooperation is robust, and we are committed to an open door partnership with Armenia,” said Ambassador Mills during his remarks.

About BuK and Kub in and British sniper rifles in Armenia

BuK: there is half division (4 launchers) BuK M1-2 in Gyumri but its under Russian control.
KuB: there is 2 battalions (6 launcher each) of KuB M3 in Artsakh, ex 102 base KuB since they got BuKs

England never sold arms to Armenia since EU/NATO dont sell arms to conflicted countries like we or baboons. but somehow small number of various rifles are in service, could be bought from/via Russia or Greece

Also 1 battalion (6 launchers) of Strela-10 on MTLB were given to Armenian side from 102 base since they had 2 battalions. That vehicles are given to Artsakh and first time showed in large trainings this year. Our army had 1 battalion of those before, so we have 2 now. Ofc soon 3rd battalion will be given to our side from 102 base

Do we have more active military personnel than Azerbaijan?

Because I looked at these wiki aricles:

The article about Armenia shows that Armenia has 46,684 active personnel + 4,748 paramilitary.
                    And Artsakh having 21,363.

According to the other article Azerbaijan has 66,940 active personnel.
