Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

On another note...I have a question and I appreciate an answer if you guys have any...there's a renewed talk of a 200 million $ Russian soft loan to Armenia for weapons purchase...Is this the same 200 million we got a month ago? or is this a new one? the talks started a few days ago after the Putin-Sargsyan meeting....any news?
It's the same one as the ones announced in late June. A lot of the things they announced in late June, were only announced then because of Russia's insecurities and imagination, because they thought ElectricYerevan was about them, so they tried to kill any anti-Russian feelings, real or imagined. All those announcements were getting finalized this weekend.

As far as Azerbaijan, use this site. It's basically the only independent site left in Azerbaijan, but its better and more professional than any Armenian one we currently have. With that said, I don't know how long its going to last before getting raided.

Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister meets with military reservists, involved in the military exercises

                    [ 09 September 2015 21:07 ]

“You must be ready for war”

Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has met with military reservists, involved in the military exercises.

The minister expressed his gratitude to military reservists for participating in the exercises and for their readiness to be involved in the military service again in order to defend the homeland, APA reports quoting to the website of the Ministry of Defense.

Zakir Hasanov noted that more than 20 years, Azerbaijani lands are under the occupation and peace talks do not give any result: "Azerbaijani state constantly cares about the army strengthens its power day-by-day. The enemy must understand clearly that we will never reconcile with the occupation of our lands. If the talks fail, we will take advantage of our power and liberate our lands. Appreciating the first stage of the exercises, I would like to highlight the professionalism of the staff. The main purpose of attracting servicemen from the reserve for the exercises is to test their combat readiness. We give great importance to this, because reservists are perceived as part of the army. We all must be ready for war. Today we are holding exercises in the field. There will be live firing. You should seriously take part in the exercises to increase the level of readiness. You need to perform the tasks, assignments and be ready for battles. "

He added that taking part in the exercises "reservists", along with the improvement of previously acquired skills and knowledge will have an opportunity to become closely familiar with modern weapons and equipment of our army and their exploitation rules.

The exercises will continue till September 13.

We never talked about bmp3s and their pros and cons and if by modifying our bmp2s we can catch up without spending money on a new batch

Russia to finalize delivery of BMP-3 armored infantry vehicles to Azerbaijan in 2016
                      [ 09 September 2015 19:19 ]
Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. Russia will complete the delivery of another 50 BMP-3 armored infantry vehicles to Azerbaijan in 2016, military sources told TASS news agency.

Earlier this year, it became know that Russia is going to complete the sale of T-90S tanks to Azerbaijan, sources said. “Earlier Rosoboronexport also stated that in 2014 Russia will finalize delivery of a large batch of weapons and equipment for the contracts signed in 2010”.

According to Russian media reports, Azerbaijan purchased from Russia T-90S tanks, BMP-3 armored infantry vehicles (about 100 vehicles), multiple rocket launchers and heavy flamethrower systems.

Experts say the signed contracts amounted to approximately one billion US dollars.
