If Armenians will advocate for Armenia, as much as for Russia, not less; Armenia may turn into a truly powerful/sovereign country!

Thanks for the answer guys. The Russian military presence we have now is working well and there should be no reason to intensify it and to extend the present lease when it doesn’t even come due in another 12 years.

If you ask me, Russian base in Gyumri can stey there... many Armenians in gyumri works or serve in that base...(realy many Armenians) but in Artsakh there was never a Russian and will never be a Russian soldier.. karabakhi people are one by one soldiers. we only need the Russian toys... and the Russian base is a verry good way to buy it underground

Nice find.

At 0:45 we see the APFSDS (Armour Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot) anti tank round while training on the anti tank gun (which also can be used as regular artillery).

At 0:58 we see the deployment of our longest range anti tank missile system (SHTURM-S) on an MT-LB tracked vehicle. The sytem can use 2 types of missiles: The older SHTURM (5.5 km) or the newer ATAKA (6 km).

The MT-LB 9P149 looks indeed nice....

Just want it to see if there are others that feel the way I do ..........and my concern comes from some of the Armenian news chatter that is going around the Internet suggesting that Russia wants to keep the Karabakh issue under its control by maintaining a status quo which could possibly means that there would be no chance for an official recognition of NKR in near future or a peace treaty.

We should be happy Russia is trying to keep a balance, though in all, they support Armenia more than Azerbaijan. If we were to rely on the West (Europa, Israel and USA), Armenia would not have existed today.

Russia delivers us weapons and safeguards the security of the Republic of Armenia, the rest is up to us on how we play the ''political'' game especially when the enemy makes a wrong step.

You make some very good points Eddo. The problem has always seemed to me that Russia is not a good friend, but our only friend (perhaps with the exception of Iran to some degree). They will always play games and will screw Armenia from time to time, but as Armenia is not yet strong enough, we will have to go with the flow for a while longer (or decades longer in this case). The only way for Armenia to make the situation more tolerable is invest in the country (both domestically and from the diaspora), elect people that actually care about the country and have the ability to transform ideas in to reality, treat each other better, etc. Easier said than done.

I wish we could change the status quo for Artsakh but in some ways it really is up to Armenia. It would be risky for them to recognize Artsakh and maybe they are being too cautious or not cautious enough; I'm not an expert. But I will say that in my opinion the status quo is much better than the proposals we have seen from the Minsk Group ( especially phased withdrawal). It makes the situation difficult but it seems that similar to Armenia/Russia relations, we have a choice between status quo or war.
