Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

              ***Translated from Russian***

Turkey took control of the management of Azerbaijani armed forces

Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation continues. Within this framework, the Turkish side is going through the expansion of its military presence in the South Caucasus to strengthen Ankara's influence in the region and become a counterweight to Russia. It is worth noting that as a result of carried out in recent years, bilateral military cooperation, the Turkish side is almost completely took control of the Azerbaijani armed forces, resulting in the leadership of the armed forces of Azerbaijan agree on any of their action with the Turkish command.

According to reports, as a result of military cooperation in recent years, the Turkish side took control not only of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, but also on the rest of the power structures of the republic. In particular, representatives of the Turkish Gendarmerie Command now not only carried out an advisory activity, but also occupy senior positions in the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan.

In the military industry, in the framework of various assistance to Azerbaijan, the Turkish side attaches great importance to Azerbaijan's readiness units of special forces and sabotage by the provocations of these units to the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border, trying to maintain constant tension in the domestic political situation in the region. In order to assess the readiness of the Special Forces of Azerbaijan in the coming days, a group of Turkish instructors will visit the Azerbaijani military units stationed in the area of the contact line. One of the purposes of verification is to assess the activities of special forces units of the armed forces of Azerbaijan in winter in snowy terrain. It should be noted that the Azerbaijani side is preparing for the Turkish Inspectorate, considering it as a test of the high command.

Thus, we can confidently assert that the statements made by the Command of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan that the Azerbaijani armed forces - is allegedly completely independent and readiness of the structure is purely propaganda. In fact, the country's armed forces are under the full control of the Turkish Armed Forces Command and even the special forces of the country that are considered elite, any action being developed under the direct supervision of Turkish trainers.

In this regard, highlights the troops stationed in Nakhichevan, which, in fact, are under the full control of the Turkish armed forces, and even with a strong desire of official Baku the Azerbaijani authorities are not able to reduce the influence of Turkey in Nakhchivan. Already today we can state that the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is only nominally under the authority of the official Baku.

They just cut their military budget by 70%, their economy is going to hell, the country looks like it could collapse as a whole, but they are going be able to afford JF-17s? Azerbaijani media fantasies have reached a new level of delusion.

I am thinking what you're thinking too. Today I was reading that they will close down currency exchange shops other than banks because Dollars are being sold higher than the official rate. Anyway, this should be an excuse for us to get some interceptors.
