We took back a position. In military terms, sometimes an active front line or position that is actively being contested is not officially declared lost territory until fighting in that particular area stops and considering the fighting didn't stop between yesterday and as of this post, we considered it not lost is my guess to explain the discrepancy. That and war time propaganda.

The scale of the ongoing fighting is to not be taken lightly. This is an actual surprise offensive by Azerbaijan using everything except fighter jets. Helicopters, drones, special forces, artillery, tanks, IFVs and APCs all used. As of right now, we retook most positions they advanced to in the initial push. Don't be alarmed by their temporary advances as it is to be expected when the enemy launches offensives. What is important is how we counter-attack and we are hitting them hard.

True. Armenian/NKR forces will gather a lot of information and learning from this latest round. What we do know is that the Armenians require better night-vision, early warning detection, and vigilance, first and foremost.

As Federate mentioned, based on the element of surprise, amassing of forces, planning, etc. the Azeris launched a multi-pronged attack in several sectors. NKR forces did give some ground, the Azeris were not able to re-inforce their small gains and the Armenians counterattacked and retook those positions, all but one in the Hdrut sector which they'll probably get back real soon. I believe the latest round will continue for several more days. Armenian forces need to hit the Azeris hard...and behind Azeri lines as well. Armenians also need to gather as much evidence as they can of the Azeri dead, knocked out tanks, APC's etc
