Azerbaijani diversions make Armenian soldiers' morale even stronger

2 Azeri soldiers died in diversion organized by Azerbaijan's armed forces, the head of PR department at Armenian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vardan Avetisyan stated.

As he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the second soldier died in a mine explosion as the diversion group was retreating. “2 soldiers out of a group of 5 lost their lives. They remain unidentified,” Avetisyan reported.

“The dead Azeri soldier had a submachine gun with a muffler and handcuffs, suggesting his intention to seize hostages,” Avetisyan explained, adding that Azeri party aimed to present Armenia as an aggressor.

“By all means, we intend to fortify our positions on NKR-Azerbaijan line of contact. And I can say with confidence that our soldiers' morale is strengthening every day,” the Major General stressed.

The subversive attack of the Azerbaijani armed forces was prevented by Nagorno Karabakh servicemen on September 4 morning. As result of a close combat, the Azerbaijanis retreated, leaving one killed in the territory controlled by the NKR army. The NKR Defense Ministry reported no casualties.

PanARMENIAN.Net - A gross violation of ceasefire on the line of contact of NKR and Azeri armed forces was reported on the night of September 5.

As NKR Defense Ministry told PanARMENIAN.Net Azerbaijan fired over 5000 shots at NKR forces positions, aiming intense submachine-gun fire in the direction of Gadrut, Askeran and Martakert.

Upon receiving NKR armed forces response, the rival ceased fire. The NKR Defense Ministry reported no casualties.

I just read newly available details of Saturday's incident where two Azeri soldiers were killed on a French website and i'll translate for everyone.

The incident happened near Jraberd. There were 8 Azeris in total with 2 of them being killed and many injured. One of the soldiers jumped into the trench held by Armenian soldiers and actually went into hand to hand combat withan Armenian soldier by the name of Arman Manukyan. Arman threw him to the ground and another Armenian soldier reinforced him and shot the Azeri dead. The dead Azeri soldier had knives on him as well as a number of guns including one Israeli made weapon with a silencer attached to it as well as a number of grenades. The other soldier was killed by tripping a mine during his escape. Ever since the Chaylu incident where four soldiers were killed, the Artsakh army has been more vigilent.

Les 8 assaillants Azéris on laissé 2 corps lors de l’attaque sur une position arménienne

Les informations continuent de nous parvenir sur l’attaque azérie hier matin sur un poste arménien non loin de Djrapert à la frontière entre le Haut Karabagh et l’Azerbaïdjan. Les assaillants Azéris qui étaient au nombre de 8 ont laissé 2 morts et plusieurs blessés lors de cette attaque contenue par les forces arméniennes. L’identité des deux Azéris tués est Ahmet Husseinagha Oghli Abdoulaév (26 ans) et Farid Gyulaghaoghli Ahmedov. L’un des assaillants a sauté dans la tranchée tenue par les soldats Arméniens et s’est battu au corps à corps avec un soldat arménien. Ce soldat arménien, Arman Manoukian est parvenu à déséquilibrer l’assaillant azéri puis un autre soldat arménien parvenu en renfort l’a abattu. Le soldat azéri tué portait des couteaux et plusieurs armes dont un fusil doté d’un silencieux de fabrication israélienne, ainsi que des grenades. L’autre soldat azéri fut tué lors de son repli en sautant sur une mine. Après l’incident de Tchaïlou qui fit 4 morts dans les rangs arméniens, une plus grande vigilance est observée au sein de l’armée de défense de la République du Haut Karabagh prête à faire face à toute attaque.
