That's gotta gotta be stopped dead in its tracks. We cannot go on "tit for tat" with murder !!! They, their azer turcs are instigating this. That is precisely what has been taking place since the original cease fire. (But) without the recognition that the azer turc is the causative instigator of the murderos aggression.
This needs to come out in the light of day as recognized, or it's the same old road game.
---- the day after the turcs agree to confidence building and trust, and Armenian soldier is murdered ---
The scam has got to stop.

that's kind of my point, especially since merkel seems to be relishing every opportunity to please erdogan pasha.

my question stems from not just this visit, but the sargsyan visit last month, which i found to be very strange at the time.

Anyone know why and since when have we been working with Germany? Not just this, Sargsyan also went to meet with Merkel in early April if you remember.
I just don't recall us ever working closely with the Germans.
              MINSK GROUP

The Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group are Ambassadors Igor Khovaev of the Russian Federation; Brice Roquefeuil of France; and Andrew Schofer of the United States of America. The Group’s permanent members are Belarus, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Turkey, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan.

              Who we are

At its meeting in Helsinki in 1992, the then-CSCE Council requested the Chairman-in-Office to convene as soon as possible a conference on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict involving Armenia and Azerbaijan.

This event was to take place in Minsk and provide a forum for negotiations towards a peaceful settlement.

In 1994, the OSCE Budapest Summit established the so-called Minsk Group, which continues to work for the creation of conditions in which such a conference can take place.

The Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group are Ambassadors Igor Popov of the Russian Federation; Pierre Andrieu of France; and James Warlick of the United States of America.

The Group’s permanent members are Belarus, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Turkey, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan. On a rotating basis, also the OSCE Troika is a permanent member.

              Mandate

Following the Budapest Summit decision, on 23 March 1995, the Chairman-in-Office mandated the Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group to provide an appropriate framework for conflict resolution in the way of assuring the negotiation process; to obtain conclusion by the Parties of an agreement on the cessation of the armed conflict in order to permit the convening of the Minsk Conference; and to promote the peace process by deploying OSCE multinational peacekeeping forces. The Minsk Process can be considered to be successfully concluded if these objectives are fully met.

              What we do

The Minsk Group, the activities of which have become known as the Minsk Process, spearheads the OSCE's efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It is co-chaired by France, the Russian Federation, and the United States.

              Conflict prevention and resolution

The Minsk Group’s Co-Chairs visit the region regularly to conduct high-level talks with the parties to the conflict, and hold meetings with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and the Minsk Group members to brief them on the process. They are mandated to provide an appropriate framework for conflict resolution in the way of assuring the negotiation process; to obtain conclusion by the Parties of an agreement on the cessation of the armed conflict in order to permit the convening of the Minsk Conference; and to promote the peace process by deploying OSCE multinational peacekeeping forces.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

How could you call land useless? It's the most idiotic statement I've ever heard. Turks die for a centimetre and morons like you think about Armenian lives. If people like you governed our country , we would have bubble wrap around our borders. Sadly in our geographical state soldiers are going to die. But in there name we should have many more and resist Turkic claims and violence. Armenians in history have died to keep our land out of enemy hands. What makes this generation not equivalent? If you allow an enemy to take a cm he will take a metre. Useless land , wasted land, contaminated or whatever , all you're doing is driving there spirit to take a larger bite next time.

I think serj screwed this one up. On 4th april he said we lost 200 m in north and some hill in the south. Now he says 8 hectar which are useless. If they are so useless how come we took them from the beginning? Also lele tepe gave azeris advantage which they didnt have before. Although azeris didnt achieve their goals, they did gain some territories. Then he says go and liberate it yourself and it is not worth our soldiers life. What if that was talish or martakert, will he say the same thing? Its a disturbing thought.

From what I c Serj is right, not worth losing another 80 soldiers in retaking a dusty mountain skirt, saw he's speech in his jet,he said those soldiers who would be wasted for this operation, are needed for protecting more strategic lands, also I thought we controlled the desert flat areas in the south near fizuli,or am I wrong?
