It is part of their presidential security doctrine. Not specifically to always have the choppers, but they will insist on it should they feel the need or want. The same is true with the US. The secret service goes wherever the president goes. Nothing strange or insulting there. For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

NEW WAR IN KARABAKH TO JEOPARDIZE RUSSIAN-TURKISH TIES- ANKARA ISSUES WARNING

Director of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT)
Hakan Fidan, who was visiting Azerbaijan on February 6-7, had meetings
with the Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev, and national security
minister, Eldar Mahmudov.
The parties reportedly agreed to develop cooperation in the security
sphere. The Azerbaijani and Turkish media refrain from giving further
details.
Citing anonymous sources, however, the Turkish newspaper Takvim
"sheds lights" on the official meetings.
It says the Turkish authorities dispatched their official to the
Azerbaijani capital in an attempt to ease the existing tension in
the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement process.
"While last week everybody's attention was fixed on the developments
in Egypt and the Middle East, Director of the National Intelligence
Organization (MIT) Hakan Fidan had meetings with Turkish President
Ilham Aliyev and National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov. Fidan
conveyed to Aliyev the messages of Turkish President Abdullah Gul
and Prime Minister Recep Tayip Erdogan. Besides, he attempted to
gain the favor of the Azerbaijani authorities in order to relax the
Turkish-Azerbaijani tension caused by the bilateral ties normalization
process between Armenia and Turkey," the paper suggests.
The author of the report adds that the Karabakh issue was also
addressed at the meetings.
"Fidan said at the meetings that an Armenian-Azerbaijani war may
pose a threat to the energy carriers extending across the region,
as well as jeopardize the Russian-Turkish cooperation which is of
key importance for the region."Hayastan or Bust.

Is that a 9K115 Metis or Maybe a 9K115-M Metis-M anti-tank guided missile?
If so, this is the first time I see this system in the Armenian Army.

Not military balance per se but amusing nonetheless.

Israel threatened Azerbaijan to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree, which approved the agreement between Azerbaijan’s MFA and State of Palestine disposal of material-technical support to Palestinian Embassy in Baku.
“Pia.az” informs that the agreement was signed on January 31 in Baku. The phrase “State of Palestine” is underscored in the agreement. Official Baku used not to define “Palestine” though has been supporting the idea in the international organizations.
Having signed that decree Ilham Aliyev approved Azerbaijan recognizes Palestine. A “Pia.az” source told that the Israeli party appeared with touch counteract for Baku.
“The reason to cease the activities of Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan was that fact. Israel threatened Azerbaijan who establishes relations with Palestine.”
Israeli MFA addressed a message to Azerbaijan saying that Israel would recognize Nagorno-Karabakh if Baku didn’t revise its policy.
