according to wikipedia, it has more range and can engage much more targets than S-300PS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-300_(missile) , scroll way down....

SCUD-B (300 km range) and Tochka-U (120 km range) neutralised to a certain extent, especially if they place the systems near the border? Good thing they only have two systems...

Also found this: "The S-300 system was developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles and is regarded as one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems currently fielded. The S-300 Favorite model can intercept small- and medium-range tactical ballistic missiles. Its radars have the ability to simultaneously track up to 70 targets while engaging up to 36; the deployment time is five minutes. The radar can locate air targets at a distance of 330 kilometers and an altitude of 25 kilometers. S-300 missiles are sealed rounds and require no maintenance over their lifetime." http://www.armenianow.com/commentary...n_weapons_s300

Yeah, pretty much our supposed ally fscked us over.

That is given that azeris now how to utilise the system well. But would be interesting if we send like a 100 SCUDS on Baku, would be really interesting what S300 would do....

Two battalions, each four batteries, so in total eight batteries, with each four launchers, so they have 32 launchers. By the way, don't be surprised if in the near future the S-300 systems of the Russian base in Gyumri will be replaced by brand new S-400.

Yeah, pretty much our supposed ally fscked us over.
The Russians give us the chance, even though we have no oil revenues, to almost be equal in arms as Azerbaijan. They are the only one supplying us with billions of worth of ammunition and armament. However, it is up to us Armenians to utilize this opportunity by improving the efficiency of our army and combat readiness, so when the time is ripe, we **** up Azerbaijan. And we will.
