Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

could this help defend Stepanakert? S-300PT-1 has a 100km radius as far as i recall. Maybe they have specifically placed it in syunik for that purpose, not that far from Artsakh, and yet not in artsakh incase Azeris try to bomb it, they'll have to bomb armenia's territory, which is alot bigger deal, it's pretty smart thinking from the armenian side.

Was that ever officially confirmed by Russia? I thought they were denying it. Anyway they might only be useful against long-range missiles given the fact that Armenia's air force is virtually non-existent.

Of course they will deny it, but there's no doubt that Azeris got S-300 from them...

Russia has agreed to deliver S-300 air defense systems to Azerbaijan, leading Russian business daily Vedomosti said on Thursday.

If Azerbaijan was convinced that the Armenian army is unable to resist their provocations, then the day would not have to wait for the outbreak of war. This was stated in an interview with a reporter panorama.am chairman of the Standing Committee on Defence, National Security and Internal Affairs, member of the ARF Karapetyan, responding to a request for comment on past incidents of ceasefire violations by the enemy.

"They are confident that our army is fighting capacity, and its weaponry is not inferior to Azerbaijan, not to mention the fact that the Armenian army has a moral superiority over the Azerbaijani army" - the deputy said.

"Of course - he said - Azerbaijan is trying to beat Armenia in the arms race, but he knows that we are not far behind. Especially considering the introduction of the Armenian scientific capacity in our army, the military industry, Armenia in this respect superior to Azerbaijan ", - said Mr. Karapetyan, and added:" If they send the petrodollars to purchase weapons, and often this weapon is old, and serves only to launder money, in the Armenian army emphasis on sophisticated weaponry, as well as the use of our scientific achievements to strengthen the army. "

Based on the above head of the commission concluded that Azerbaijan will not start a war.

Maybe true, but when their oil runs out then they will surely attack.....by then their military power will have grown even more and not too many countries would care what happens at the end.

              Azerbaijan does not have S-300.

Go back to the news info. There was mention of a contract with Russia to supply 2 batteries of S-300 after two years.
              Russians have not confirmed it.
I don't expect S-300 deliveries to Azerbaijan anytime soon (Remember S-300 to Iran).

That's one scenario. Another possibility is that once the oil runs out the current azeri "leaders" will abandon ship, leaving the country with nothing left to exploit except large piles of weapons. The next lot of "leaders" will come on-board "hungry" with no oil, but a large stockpile of weapons, worth in the tens of billions of dollars. Within the next 4-6 years all those weapons will end up in Africa or another conflict-prone zone. For most people money talks louder than words. For the azeris, money talks louder than honor.

I like the way you think.....my biggest concern is that they may have no choice but to do their duties as the proxies of Ankara, however lapdog Aliyev has become "har" towards Turks. Must be a case of Rabies, nothing Ankara can't remedy.

                      This is interesting

Expert says U.S. has twice warned Azerbaijan they will recognize Artsakh if…

People who have certain interests and viewpoints in NK conflict, endeavor to approach the issue from a proper perspective which definitely has its own reflection in the international media, Professor Vladimir Zakharov, the director of Political and social research institute for Black Sea-Caspian region, told reporters Tuesday.

“Referring to armed conflict provocations from Azerbaijan, U.S. has twice warned them that as soon as a war starts, they will recognize the independence of Artsakh. U.S. needs Artsakh since this land is located near Iran,” Zakharov said.

According to the expert another question is being asked in these days – if armed conflict starts between NK and Azerbaijan, will Russia participate in it? “So when I’m asked this, I always say that Armenia is CSTO member state, thus Russian will support them.”
