Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Eddo I would like your opinion on something?

Which is more beneficial to purchase? A Yak-130 two seater geared towards jet training, or should you focus your purchase on the Yak-131 one seater version more geared towards a light attack aircraft role?

I know the two seater provides for more accurate guided bomb attacks due to technology in the rear seat.

This yak-130 negotiations is news to me tbh. We just might see PT72Us (If that deal went through, still dont know tbh), new special forces equipment, and new trainers/light attack jets in 2016 parade???

Ive found out where those NATO helmets Armenian regular infantry has been wearing came from! Lubawa manufactures PASGT helmets, the same helmets the vast majority of the army now wear.

That is two, very vague, but public statements from the President and Defense Minister.
I think we can assume that Armenia has acquired downgraded versions of Iskander. The government doesn't xxxxwave alot, and when they do I believe it is legitimate.
I think that article is an over the top optimism in interpreting Sargsyan's statement of "we'll get advanced weapons in 1-2 years" as we'll get Iskandar. Knowing the price, the potency, and the change in balance of power, I don't see how Armenia buys it or Russia just gives it to Armenia. Like I said at best its on the Russian base which hardly means anything when it comes to Artsakh.

Normally countries purchase a couple of two seaters and then several one seaters.

For Armenia's airforce it would be better to purchase the one seaters and get the training in the two seater from manufacturer. Several pilots will be picked to do the sim work and familiarization with the new stick.

You and your obsession with helmets, lol.

I quite like Soviet tin pots honestly, I dont care about helmets. I care about what they do. And I find it exciting that Armenia has local production of ballistic wear for the army, and its even more exciting that a company from an EU/NATO member state is doing it.

Kevlar will reduce 200ths/KIAs in the Army.

Your skepticism is justified Mher, although I will maintain my stance. I would be extremely skeptical if MoD was asked, and neither confirmed nor denied it, but they openly came out bragging about it. Its obviously something big. Gonna have to wait a year.

I am just messing with you Chubs......I personally like top of the line helmets.

            Just to add:
Helmets have saved my life twice. Once on dirtbike (motocross) and the other on sportbike (canyons).

              .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

YEREVAN. – On April 3, US Ambassador Richard Mills joined Armenian members of the Armenian Peace Keeping Brigade at Zvartnots Airport to send off 36 Armenian peacekeepers to participate in Saber Junction 15, a USAREUR-led Decisive Action Training Environment exercise designed to train a brigade-level unit to operate with allied and partner nations as part of a combined force.

This exercise takes place across Germany, Lithuania, and Romania until April 30. Saber Junction 15 prepares NATO and partner-nation armies for offensive, defensive and stability operations, and promotes interoperability among participants.

Saber Junction 15 participation includes 17 nations and will train more than 5,000 service members. These nations include the following NATO Allies: Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungry, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and the United States; and the following NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) nations: Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Sweden.

The joint Armenian-US exercise is underwritten by a Memorandum of Understanding between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the US Army in Europe.

we had PASGT helmets long ago, before Lubawa was made, we got those from Greece or Serbia, the ones we will get from Lubawa are Mich2000 helmets, not PASGT.

About PT72U iam not sure we will get those, since we joined EUAsian union, but before that Poland wanted to modernize our army so we will join EU instead, probably we will see T72B3 in 2016
