You also may not:

- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

  • Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan

So why is Netanyahu visiting Azerbaijan now?
    - Trump got elected and he's probably gonna annul the nuclear agreement.
    - The Israeli plan to use Azerbaijan as a platform to launch airstrikes against Iran will probably be on the table in the future again.
    - Israel started receiving F-35 stealth jets today, making it the 2nd nation after USA to receive them.

Netanyahu’s trip to Azerbaijan draws Iranian ire

The seven hours that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to spend in Azerbaijan on Tuesday are raising the ire of that majority Shi’a Muslim country’s immediate neighbor to the south: Iran.

An Armenian website, Panorama, reported on Monday that Iran considers Netanyahu’s visit objectionable, with a top Iranian cleric, Sayed Mehdi Ghoreishi, telling reporters, “It is unacceptable when a Muslim country tries to develop ties with a perpetrator. The Azerbaijani authorities must take this into account, as it is unacceptable for the Muslim society.”

Netanyahu is scheduled to travel to Baku for a meeting with President Ilham Heydar Aliyev, followed by a meeting with the local Jewish community, before flying in the evening to Kazakhstan for a day of meetings there on Wednesday. He is scheduled to leave Kazakhstan for Israel on Thursday morning.

Netanyahu last met Aliyev on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos last January.

Israel has a strong economic and security relationship with Azerbaijan, buying more than a quarter of its oil from the country. It is also reportedly one of Azerbaijan’s largest weapons merchants. By virtue of its location on the doorstep of Iran, Azerbaijan has a great deal of strategic significance for Israel, something definitely not lost on Tehran.

Sayed Hassan Ameli, another top Iranian cleric, was quoted on the Panorama website saying that Azerbaijan is important to Israel because it is Iran’s neighbor, not for economic or military reasons. The Iranian news agency MEHR reported that a march in the Iranian city of Tabriz was held on Friday denouncing Netanyahu’s trip to Azerbaijan, and demanding that Baku cancel it.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency quoted Iran’s former ambassador, Mohsen Pakayeen, as saying the visit “contravenes Azerbaijan’s commitments to the Islamic community.”

According to the agency, “Pakayeen said the Republic of Azerbaijan, as a member of the Islamic community, should remain committed to Muslim nations’ agreements on the prohibition of any ties with Israel or any measure that would break the isolation of the Zionist regime.”

Iran’s Fars News Agency quoted Hossein Amir Abdollhaian, senior adviser to Iran’s speaker of the parliament, as saying that Netanyahu was trying to “hatch new plots” by his visit. “The upcoming visit of Netanyahu to Baku should be regarded as a new conspiracy for the region,” he said.

This will be Netanyahu’s second visit as prime minister to Baku. He visited there for a few hours in 1997 and met with Aliyev’s father, then-president Heydar Aliyev.

There have been a number of high level Israeli visits to Baku since then, including three trips by Avigdor Liberman when he served as foreign minister, one by president Shimon Peres in 2009, and one by then-defense minister Moshe Ya’alon in 2014.

Following his 2012 trip to Baku Liberman said, “Azerbaijan is more important for Israel than France,” also commenting at the time that Israel did more trade with Azerbaijan than with France.

Ya’alon’s visit was the first by a defense minister and underlined security ties between the countries.

Azerbaijan’s leading newspaper, Yeni Musavat, reported on Monday that Israel was one of Azerbaijan’s main strategic partners and arms suppliers. The paper said that in recent years, cooperation in this area was “growing both in terms of quality and in terms of quantity.”

The report claimed that Azerbaijan and Israel have agreed on the joint production of drones that “proved to be successful” in clashes in the Nagorno-Karabakh region in April. In addition, the paper said it had information that Israel will sell Iron Dome air defense batteries to Azerbaijan. Israel is the country’s second largest military supplier after Russia, the paper said.

A hacked cable on the Wikileaks website from the US embassy in Baku in 2009, quoted Aliyev as saying that the Israeli-Azerbaijani bilateral relationship is like an iceberg, nine-tenths of it below the surface.

“Israel’s relations with Azerbaijan are based strongly on pragmatism and a keen appreciation of priorities,” read the cable, written by Rob Garverick, a political and economic counselor in America’s Baku embassy at the time. “Israel’s main goal is to preserve Azerbaijan as an ally against Iran, a platform for reconnaissance of that country, and as a market for military hardware.” Both countries, he said, view Iran as an “existential threat.”

The Prime Minister’s Office said that a tax and agricultural agreement will be signed during the visit. The Azeri News Agency APA quoted diplomatic sources as saying that the Palestinian issue will also be discussed, adding, “In keeping with international law and UN documents, Azerbaijan has always stated its support for Palestine’s position.”

      - Trump is not stupid, he will not go to war. He will only ask more deals from Iran. He cares less for the shekels now that he got elected.
Iran just purchase around 17 billions dollars from Boeing while the useless shekels got their 5 billion yearly welfare check.

      - If the azeris are stupid enough to let any shekel attack from their territories they will eventually become Iranian rotisserie chicken.
What is shekel going to attack? few centrifuges? They are easy and cheap to rebuild. The Russian Energy pant? The shekels want full fledge civil war in Iran that no one will touch with a ten foot pole.

F-35 big deal! They already have advanced planes that they can attack with. The question is what will happen to shekel land after the attack? We are not dealing with likes of aboush arabs.

Yes, by F-35 I meant that if they attack from Azerbaijan no one will know because radars can't catch the F-35s, unlike their super advanced F-16Is which can do the job comfortably but get detected that they came from Azeri airspace.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Azeristan is full of Iranian spies. Most likely they even have paid spies in every military level.
The shekels could easily target any location in Iran (with F-35 or F-16) and return back safe to their country, if they are willing to receive what comes after the attack.
Hezbollah has most likely all kinds of advanced armaments from Iran by now, let alone some attacks from Syria as well.
If they want to mess with Iran they would have done it already. The slimes wants others to wage their wars, or they wish the ethnic azeris in Iran turn the country to a Syria.
They are lost and constantly forcing the US to wipe they shekel behind. His visit is for sticking their nose with energy routes and selling arms in return while sending signals to Washington.
Russia is watching with a vaseline container in hand.

F-35's can be detected by VHF and UHF radars wich Iran posesses and manufacture. F35's can even be detected by conventional mm wavelength radars if the F35 is facing its side or rear to the radar. Guiding a missile with UHF or VHF radars is practically impossible but as long as the Israelis fly high, Iran will detect the direction of the attack. Another questio is how will Israel sneak the F35's into Azeri territory.
Point being, Turkey will start receiving their F35's soon. They are not as invisible as advertised.

Mostly, talk of an Israeli attack Originating from Azerbaijan reffer to the second leg of the attack by Israel. First they fly from Israel, refuel over Saudi Arabia, strike their targets in Iran, land in Azerbaijan refuel and rearm (munition that are secretly brought to Baku) take off and strike Iran again, then finally return to base.

To use airplanes from azery territory Israel and Azerbaijan have to create a military alliance first. Does Baku have that kind of balls? Or is Baku that stupid?
All is about using azeristan for Israeli intelligence, selling weapons and oil.
My guess will be, as soon as Baku receives Iron dom, Armenia gets pantsirs from Russia in turn.
Pantsirs we may see regardless of iron shlom soon...

                    Iran possesses VHF radars?
The S-300 and S-400 do not have the capability to detect the F-35.
Also, countries like Greece which are in regular dogfights with the Turks are worried about Turkey receiving F-35s in 2018.
They have advanced SAMs like S-300PMU-1 and Patriot PAC-3, both of which are useless against stealth.
