1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

All around having a military build up in Nakhichevan is stupid of them to do. They'll be invading Armenia, not The Artsakh republic, it seems more for Intimidation than war.

I've been reading up on what they have. They have literally been throwing the kitchen sink into buying weapons. It's a really well equipped military and they've been training with Turkey recently. Economically, these fools are now on the same level as Armenia. I am wondering how they keep spending money on armaments???

          • This is the story of Samvel Babayan's demise, not the specifics but the Soviet style building a man or destroying him

Sadly I can draw parallells with Stalinist not to mention North Korean methods of propaganda.

The difference is that the Armenian population, Armenia and diaspora is far more sophisticated not to cringe with the methods used.

            .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

They want to counter our iskanders by threatening to bomb our major population centers in case we use them against Baku.
If they do that they need to secure Nakhichevan in case we try to invade or bomb them by artillery. . That is why turkey is involved.
At the same time they can tie up a lot of our resources against Nakhichevan while invading Artsakh.
this all is a part of preparing for all out war.
By bombing Yerevan and other major population centers they hope to break our people.
              Its a Turkic strategy.
Go back to history and check, any town or citadel before storming turks allways bombed and blockaded for months and broke the starving population's will before attacking.
like our Ani (they used catapults etc).

                  • "Maariv": Israeli operators of UAV refused to attack Armenians at the request of Azerbaijanis

The Israeli Defense Ministry is verifying information that the operators of the Israeli company Aeronautics Defense Systems refused to demonstrate the possibility of new unmanned equipment delivered to Azerbaijan for Armenian purposes, the newspaper Ma'ariv a-Shavua reports.

The author of the publication, Yossi Melman, writes that the relevant complaint was filed with the Israeli Defense Ministry. At Aeronautics Defense Systems, the charges are dismissed.

According to the source, the incident occurred more than a month ago when an Aeronautics Defense Systems delegation arrived in Baku to discuss a new contract for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles, including so-called barrage ammunition. The publication says that the Azerbaijani military asked that the possibilities of new technology be demonstrated during real military operations against the Armenian army, and were refused. The article states that the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan expected to publish a television broadcast of this attack in order to show the power of its armed forces.

"Maariv" recalls that, in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Defense of Israel, the Israeli arms suppliers have no right to participate directly or indirectly in hostilities in the territory of other countries, unless there is a special order of the Ministry of Defense (which is given very rarely).

According to "Maariv", the leaders of the delegation tried to exert pressure on the workers of the Israeli company, who refused to demonstrate the capabilities of unmanned vehicles during real actions against the Armenian military, but the operators did not comply. In the end, the attempt to use these UAVs did not lead to any casualties, although the goal was amazed. One of the operators, who responded with a refusal to demand the control of the barraging ammunition during the attack on the Armenian military, later resigned from the company, and the latter is about to quit soon, the newspaper writes.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated: "Usually, the ministry does not comment on defense exports, and the information is checked by the relevant structures in the ministry."

The press service of Aeronautics Defense Systems categorically rejected the allegations in the complaint and stated: "The company delivers its products to customers in 50 countries of the world, exclusively in accordance with the licenses of the Defense Export Control Department in the Ministry of Defense."The statement emphasizes that operational management is always carried out by the buyer and is entirely in his responsibility. "Aeronautics never conducts demonstrations for living purposes, the same applies to this case," the statement said.

As it was informed earlier, in early 2017 a licensed production of homing ammunition "Zarba" was launched at the "AZAD systems" of the Azerbaijan production association "Sharg". As a matter of fact it is a question of the UAV "Orbiter-1K" of the Israeli company Aeronautics Defense Systems with a military unit.

Orbiter-1K was created on the basis of the reconnaissance mini-UAV Orbiter-2 and was first shown in 2015 during the Paris Air Show. From its prototype, the burrowing ammunition is distinguished by an enlarged wing for increasing maneuverability and a small increase in the fuselage to compensate for the mass of the warhead in the bow.

UAV-kamikaze "Orbiter-1K" is designed to combat infantry and lightly armored mobile and fixed enemy equipment. The ammunition can detect a target in a given area, accompany it and destroy it at the command of the operator at any time of the day. For this purpose, the UAV is equipped with an opto-electronic surveillance system in the visible and infrared ranges and flight control, which provides manual piloting of the device or automatic program lo- cation.

UAV Orbiter-1K can operate at a range of up to 100 km at a speed of about 130 km / h at altitudes up to 5500 m for 2-3 hours. The target is struck by a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 2.5 kg (4,000 tungsten balls), with the explosion of which a cloud of fragments with a radius of up to 25 m is formed. The detonation can take place in the air, with a time delay and in contact with the target. The UAV takes off with a catapult, sits with a parachute and an inflatable camera.

During the flight, the operator, having found the target, transfers the UAV into a dive mode. The device has a small acoustic visibility and can be detected in 2 seconds before the target is destroyed. If necessary, the target attack can be canceled, and the device is returned to the launch site. The mobility of the UAV application is planned to be provided by placing the vehicle on board the K1-Zarba armored vehicle.

According to the Russian expert in the field of unmanned systems Denis Fedutinov, Azerbaijan has been actively purchasing various UAV systems and assembling some of them directly in the country for the last several years."First of all, these are the products of Israeli companies, among which, in addition to the mentioned Aeronautics, are Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems and BlueBird Aero Systems," Fedutinov said.
