Lets look at the facts. The facts are like I stated. The days of fighting with swords are over. Miracles like Thermopaly or Yarmuk aren't possible anymore. It simply comes down to how many bombs you have and your capability in delivering them. Check wikipedia or look for military websites, pragmatically, armenia doesn't have any air power. There is a Russian air force base there with Russian aircraft, not Armenian.

And if you read what the other armenian posters on this thread said:

Russia can stave off Western influence and Armenia is virtually guaranteed protection against a Turkish attack (God-forbid).

For the time being though, it still seems that Russia is interested in protecting Armenia from further concessions to its neighbours.

Anyway, if God forbid Russia and Turkey unite, there is nothing any of us can do to stop whatever it is that they may want to get done in the region. It's that simple. Instead of making foolish statements like we need to oppose to Russia, all Armenians should be desperately trying to engage Russia by all means and measures.

They at least understand and recognize the reality of the situation as i do.

With today's modern warfare and the geopolitical situation of Armenia, Armenia is propped up by Russia. Its an uncomfortable situation for Armenians. Just recognize the facts. I recognize Armenia's tenacity in the difficult situation.

Not to demean the Armenian nation and the Armenian people, but it is indeed surrounded by hostilities from all around. There is bad history between Armenia and everyone in the region, except maybe for iranians, i have no clue what the relationship is like with them.

What do you really think would happen if Armenia confronted Russia?
Most likey, the disadvantages Armenia has, would determine the outcome of Armenia's situation if it did result in war with Azerbaijan.

Nobody picks their situation, their situation picks them.

A gun doesn't kill a person, and a gun is as good as the man handling it. sorry to tell you but Artsakh is a war you never can win. The next time they start it we will go further till nothing is left of them.

What a joke? Yeah, Armenia had $1 billion in aid from Russia, but the Armenian fighters did not have running water. El Asswipe, shut the xxxx up and stop trying to play the "I am pretending to be a Turkish intellectual and attempting to be the 'bigger man'", frankly, no one buys it.

The reality is that Azerbaijan was well funded. They both had better technology sold to them by west and also their military was trained by west. They also hired mercenaries and were being supported also by Chechens. I would say the odds were overwhelmingly in the favor of Azerbaijan, but they failed miserably. In fact, most of the tanks and arms that were used by the Armenian side was actually taken from Azerbaijan.

But seriously, you are stupid, to claim that a landlocked country with no resources had the financial "upper hand" against a oil rich nation like Azerbaijan is very absurd. One more thing, the war was not between "Armenia and Azerbaijan", stop making it seem like it was a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan when it was actually a war between Armenian villagers and Azerbaijan, you prick.
