Of course there were some Dashnaks fighting the war, and those who did were good because they lived up to their word, they lived up to their songs, but how many Dasknaks actually went? For God's sakes, if my family were Dashnak I would have yelled and yelled at them to have gone.

Fed, do you know how many Dashnaks from Montreal who actually went to fight in Artsakh?

90% of the fighters were people from Hayastan there were very few fedayis from the Diaspora, and most of them were Dashnaks. I blame the dashnaks from the Diaspora who didn't go and fight but you can't say they weren't there. And I agree with what they were are doing now stepping out of the coalition. Read the points of the road plan and think what we are losing. No pre-condition my ass.

The road plan isn't talking about Nk, yet. There are other things like the historians, the kars treaty and what will they ad later on no one knows. That's why dashnaks left the coalition, because they don't think what serjik is doing is the right thing. There was a great interview with a Dashnak memeber who told every thing in Hosanak on Shant tv(love the channel). And they have also said many times that opening the border will go paralel with Nk agreement. And many statements from Azeris that everything will be work out soon and Lachin corrider is going to stay in Armenian hands(90% of what's coming from them is not true but with all the other things going on).

At first I thought Russia was guiding this but now I'm sure they aren't and all of it is coming from Washington.
I agree the border should be opened but without pre-conditions and like it's going to be with this road map that I've has allready been signed. Not good at all.

                  Little good news
Armenian authorities take a firm stance on Armenian-Turkish border opening
27.04.2009 19:13 GMT+04:00 Print version Send to mail

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ “The RA President stood firm in his position: Armenia cannot open its border with Turkey until autumn. This is a kind of pressure against Turkey,” political scientist Alexander Iksansaryan told a news conference in Yerevan. Mr. Iskandaryan believes that the route map will be published, but that won’t ease public dissatisfaction. Despite its content, the route map will arise criticism against the authorities,” Mr. Iskandaryan noted. In the meantime, the political scientist finds that it is necessary to take certain measures to relieve the increasing wave of dissatisfaction in Armenia and Diaspora.

“As regards the date of signing the agreement, that should have taken place between April 16 and 24. Before April 16, the parties were not ready for it, and after April 24, the Foreign Ministries might not have signed any agreement in view of President Obama’s speech,” Mr. Iskandaryan said.

The Armenian-Turkish joint statement on the normalization of bilateral ties was adopted on April 23 by the Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministries and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Don't have information on that but from what i've heard here and there, not many. The help mostly came in the form of money.
