I've long felt that at Turkey's and Azerbaijan's behest, the U.S. and Israel through mainstream news outlets, VOA, and numerous organizations that they subsidize are attempting (with some success) to sell Armenians a view of Iran that will be detrimental to Armenians. The U.S. and Israel want Turkey and Azerbaijan to have a land connection as a hedge against Russia and to expand NATO operations and bases in the Caucuses (they proved that by trying to gin-up Georgia against Russia - I believe that was a trial run to test Russia's commitment and response). Destroying the Armenian community in Iran, encouraging another Armenian diaspora, and baiting Armenians to hold views that will make it difficult for them to do business with or live in Iran, has been at the top of the U.S./Israel agenda. The U.S. & Israel want to keep Turkey and Azerbaijan as allies - and the prize they've offered them is Armenia.

Anti-Iran propaganda is the invisible missile that's being fired into Yerevan on a daily basis - Yerevan's defensive shield should have been a more thorough educational system that taught of Armenia's connection to Iran and the nuances of this type of vulnerability and how it will be exploited by foreign intelligence agencies. I am surprised no one has written an article on it (that I could find) because it is an effective weapon against Armenia that is now being used on a daily basis.

A crude but effective way to think about it: "Western propaganda against Iran" = "Western propaganda against Armenia"

All Azerbaijan has to do is to secure a minimal land border with Turkey and that would effectively render Armenia a semi-autonomous Turkish province. Georgia is already working with Turkey, Israel and the U.S.
