Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Not so in socialism where the workers organise jobs for themselves democratically, and the wage you get is that of what labour you put in minus what goes to the state which is democratically controlled by the workers
          - This weekend nonsence, this doesnt happen under capitalism due to more pressure from work, and capitalists squeezing the workers. There used to be a time when shops in Europe were closed on Sundays, but not now, and people are forced to work to make the capitalists more profit.

-As for training to attack Azeris, this wouldnt be the case, beacuse a) its defencive, b) a revolutionary army would be used to smash the Azeri ruling class (along with agitation inside azeri workers by azeri communists) and unite both working classes

          - i find it insulting that you find my ideas a fantasy, when your idea of a nice capitalism have and are being proven incorrect this very second.
          - Remind me which NGO gives you the statistics that crime rates in the army have decreased
          - Care for the officer, yes, hes a loss to humanity, as a human being, but thats it, i dont care any more than that. Please remind me which tool of the state was hacking down on Armenian protestors last year after the election?

          - Is this why Azeri SSR GAVE Kharabagh to Armenia but Armenia refused?

          - Where is your evidence of the Azeri nation wanting pan-turkism?
The only people who stir this xxxx up is the Azeri ruling class, you know why? so the armenian worker (people like you) and the azeri worker deecrease their class consiousness and see each other as the enemy instead of the ruling class which exploits them.
To my knowledge, I have never said anything about socialism, which is actually off-topic, though it always seems on-topic to you.

There are many traits of socialism which I agree with, such as the right to have free education, among others. That has nothing to do with the Azeri working class loving us all of a sudden.

I simply LOVE the way you turn what people say around. I said "not training for an attack by the azeris" and you said "As for training to attack Azeris". Wow...let's at least be honest in what other people are saying. And you're saying these kids and women and farmers would not need to learn how to use a gun? They would just know what to do in the spur of the moment, like in a happy movie? Come on....

I can't believe you actually defended Azerbaidjan's intentions about Artsakh. I'm guessing you would be the next Boris Kevorkov. Narimanov NEVER EVER supported Artsakh's rightful return to Armenia, and even made threats such as cutting off Armenia's oil supply in the event it happened. The "offer" was just some fabrication to entice Armenia to let go of the Dashnaks, and join the Commies. Fact is, in the USSR, Azerbaidjan was slowly but very surely leading a campaign to empty Artsakh of Armenians. Read Christopher Walker's "Armenia and Karabakh".

ARMENIANS AND AZERIS LIVING IN TOTAL PEACE AND LOVE IS A FANTASY!!! How do you see it changing? It's not going to happen under today's government, and even when the azeri workers take to the streets to protest against this government, they're supporting Musavat, that is actually named after the same Musavat that waged war on Armenians in Artsakh before the USSR, and followed Turkey's Pan-Turkist views.

As I said, some aspects of socialism WITHIN ARMENIA AND ARMENIA ALONE apeal to me (the education example yet again), but the whole idea of a world revolution and workers holding hands is just some utopic fantasy.

Such words as fantasy are not very scientific and repeated use gets slightly tedius.

On the point of training, my point was they would be training for defense, not as you suggested for attack.

The Azeri workign class doesnt love us because Azeri ruling class wont let them, and agitate agasint this.

Azeris and Armenians will never live peacefully under capitalist society. I agree, so what?

Your against socialsim, but you dont defend capitalism? i yet you call me the ideealist and dream of fantasies...

I'm a believer that a mix of both is what is necessary. Kind of like here in Quebec, with modifications.

And even when the Azeri ruling class was comprised of good ole communists, we were still hated.

And once again, you take what I said, deform it, and use it over and over again. Read what I wrote CAREFULLY. I said that the training would be in order to prevent an azeri attack. And I thought you said no training would be necessary? And once again, who would provide the tanks? Who would know how to use tanks if there is no army?

-Thats neither socialism, nor capitalism, thats bollxxxxs

"And even when the Azeri ruling class was comprised of good ole communists, we were still hated."
Communists are internationalists, how could they be communists and hate armeians? no logic in your statement
however you could be in the CP and not a communist

So what if training is needed to prevent attacks?
Tanks could be bought or made, and im sure they can pay someone to teach how to use the xxxxing tanks, especially if they bought them....

Point iiiis, Marx wrote his ideas based on what he saw in his area. You can't take that and apply it anywhere. Every country should be run based on its own needs, not some already-made, one-size-fits-all formula (which so far, has faaaaailed miserably).

About the Azeri communists. My point exactly. Closest thing we've seen to azeri communists still hated Armenians.

What if training is needed? I want our teenagers to spend their time learning and having fun. Not fearing for their lives every second and learning how to shoot people.

And I guess the tanks would be manipulated by a specialized group of people who would know how to operate it, right? Kinda like an army, right?

Armenian Officer Axed By Azeri Colleague

                    AZG Armenian Daily #029 - 20/02/2004
                    ************************************************** **

Partnership for Peace not for Azerbaijan?

The news received yesterday noon from Budapest shocked the
Armenian society. At around 5.30 AM February 19 Armenian
Lieutenant Gurgen Margarian, 26, who was studying English at the
National Military Academy of Hungary in Budapest within the
scope of the NATO-funded Partnership for Peace Program was
brutally killed by axe in his sleep by a Senior Lieutenant of
Azerbaijani armed forces Ramil Safarov, who was also
participating in the language training course.

The Azeri officer also attempted to kill another Armenian
Lieutenant, but failed. After Safarov broke the door to the room
of Gurgen Margarian and killed him, he tried to break into the
quarters of another Armenian officer, but the noise woke up
other officers, this preventing Safarov to kill then second man.
Immediately the Hungarian police was called, which arrived and
detained the Azeri officer. Talking to daily Azg on phone, the
Armenian ambassador to Austria Jivan Tabibian said that the
police had difficulty when arresting the Azeri. Tabibian also
informed that they had already negotiated with the Hungarian
defense ministry and are awaiting the report of the local
police. Armenian ambassador to Brussels Vigen Cgitechian, who
represents Armenian interests in NATO, has departed to the NATO
headquarters to discuss the incident with the organization's
                    leadership.

The statement released today by Armenian defense ministry
described the brutal murder as the outcome of the intensified
war rhetoric by Azerbaijan and its policy of instilling hatred
towards Armenians. The statement of the Armenian foreign
ministry commenting on the incident read that a recent decision
by Azerbaijani authorities to ban participation of an Armenian
military delegation in a NATO conference in Baku was another
manifestation of that country's fanatic and extreme policy,
which has transformed into a tragic display in Budapest exposing
the true nature of Azerbaijan's militant policy. The Armenian
foreign ministry fervently condemned the cruel deed hoping that
the international community will respond to the incident and
will give an appropriate assessment of the crime. The foreign
ministry also called on the Hungarian authorities to punish the
criminal with all the severity of the law.

Late on February 19 the Azeri Echo newspaper reported about the
response of Azeri authorities to the incident. According to
Echo, Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev told ANS TV channel
that the information about the Azeri officer killing an Armenia
officer is still being investigated. Guliyev said that competent
Azeri diplomats in Hungary have been assigned to look into the
                    matter.

Spokesperson for Azeri defense ministry Ramiz Melikov told the
country's state TV that the Azeri officer came from Jebrail
region of Azerbaijan, and that his kinfolk have been killed
during the Karabakh war. Melikov remarked that this fact could
negatively affect the psychological condition of Lieutenant Safarov.

It's a shame that Turkic nationalism is still pervasive and the dominant ideology in that area.

Nationalism, ever since its inception, has brought more harm than good.
