Why is that in the Mashdotsian spelling? I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but only repatriates, linguists and some scholars and writers understand or use it in Armenia.

It's the traditional/official spelling of the organization which was adopted in 1890. Why change it? The Mashtotsian spelling will eventually return. However, we have more pressing issues to be worried about.
