Yedtarts, also Antranik fought for I believe thirty years with his troops on the mountains of Armenia against our enemy. Along with Karekin Nejteh and Tro, Antranik is and has been practically the demagod of our nation for over a century. At one point he believed in the freaking Brits and trusted them; but hey he didn't expect that the Brits were going to stab him in the back the way they did. Though our enemy was always in fear of him for many many years.

At one point he believed in the freaking Brits and trusted them; but hey he didn't expect that the Brits were going to stab him in the back the way they did. I bow to the memory of all our heroes no matter what political parties they’ve belonged, these people gave their lives to our people and they deserve our respect no matter what! It’s like putting our people’s and nation’s interests above everything else. Karekin Nejteh and Andranik are my idols because they were the ultimate nationalists.

And so did the young turks to Dashnaks, we cannot blame them because they were backstabbed, everything was done with our nation’s best interests in mind.

I know what you're saying. After Abdul Hamid II'nd ARF thought that the young turks would be different or better, not knowing that they were worse. Right after Adana's annihilation ARF withdrew from them of course. And yes they did have our nation's best interests in mind.

It’s like putting our people’s and nation’s interests above everything else. Karekin Nejteh and Andranik are my idols because they were the ultimate nationalists.

Andranik is a legend for our Nation, like Sasuntsy Davit, and it cannot and shouldn’t be disputed.

Now we need to have more Andraniks to prevent endorsing the death sentence issued to Armenia in the protocol.

Back then our leaders/heroes (like most everyone else) were naive, they didn’t know who were these international Anti Christian and Anti Humanity black forces who had an evil agenda to control the world also wanted to finish and wipe us from the face of this planet. they've thought the Brits or the French will help us just because we were Christians, most of the times we were stabbed in back by these people.

I’m not blaming Dashnakes, like I said, they had good intentions in mind, but Antranik warn them about the young turks, saying “turks can never be trusted”

........Believe me I knew lots of people like you in Lebanon and some of them were very close friends, but none of them would dare to disrespect or badmouth the Hero Antranik. When you disrespect him it's like you’re disrespecting your whole nation, because every thinker and every great men of our nation spoke well and respected this man.

Mukuch is not disrespecting him, sounds to me he is criticizing Andranik’s actions during the Sardarabad battle.

As Armenian we should question actions of our leaders past and present with cool heads so we can understand and learn. Constructive criticism is very good, assumptions are not……….something we do a lot.
No one man or a party is always right and we can all make mistakes with the best of intentions.

BTW, my take is that the Dashnaks should have considered Andranik’s warnings, but I would like to see good arguments on both sides.

No I don't agree with you Haykakan. I tend to agree with Eddo's analysis. Mukuch is questioning because Antranig had a huge dispute with ARF and I believe Antranig didn't agree with ARF especially when he listened to the Britons and their mega lies and gave up the right of way of our lands and Mukuch is finding fault in that. I happen to know that my father found fault in Antranig for it as well.

With retrospect in regards to ARF, there's a saying I'll be darned if I do and darned if I don't. What was Tashnagtsoutyoun to do? Tashnagtsoutyoun armed themselves and fought on the mountains of Armenia against the genocidal pogrom Mongolian turks who lutted, killed, raped, burned, stole and did everything else to Armenian populace. And after the Hamidian massacres they thought that the newly elected young turks were speaking the truth that they will help Armenians. They didn't know that they were worse off and they were speaking with both ends of their mouths. Of course right after the Adana massacres, they stopped believing in them and they stayed completely away from them. Those were very hard times for Armenians as they were always living in sheer fear. It was horrible times for us much before the Genocide.

Dashnaks also lost plenty of our lands because they refused russias help when it was offered. We could have still had kars, Erzrum and other towns along with their Armenian inhabitants but..
