Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Moonbat alert!!! Moonbat alert!!!

The only thing the 'skunk' almost became 'famous' for is losing his right to practice law when he reversed his opinion about OJ's innocence and abruptly blurted out that he believed OJ killed Nicole years after other Dream Team members vigorously fought for and won his acquittal. http://www.courttv.com/casefiles/sim...ardashian.html

And, I don't think Mr. Kardashian was ever 'praised' or considered 'famous' in legal circles for his prowess as his attorney. His law license was inactive for a couple of years before OJ went Norman Bates on his estranged wife.

“It Girl” Kim Kardashian helps raise $90,000 for Armenian orphans
Star-studded event features Hollywood celebrities and Vegas look-alikes

Universal City, Calif. - The unlikely pairing of the Armenian Church and sex-scandal-infamous party-girl-turned-celebrity Kim Kardashian help raise more than $90,000 for the Etchmiadzin Children's Fund (EFC). The charity's annual Gala Night on Friday, January 23, attracted more than 350 guests and featured real, somewhat real, and fake Hollywood stars, celebrity look-alikes, Las Vegas impersonators, and a few disconcerted church ladies.

For almost two decades, the EFC - under the auspices of Catholicos Karekin II and the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America - has raised funds to help build an orphanage and help children in need. The EFC provides food, clothing, medical care, and school supplies through annual sponsorships. More than a thousand children have benefited from sponsorships of $250 annually.

In 2005, Karekin II gave his blessing for an orphanage that would serve needy children who lived near the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Since then, a dynamic, three-pronged project operates two orphanages and an outreach program that sponsor hundreds of needy children all over Armenia.

At the Gala on Friday night, EFC chair and prideful organizer of the event Gayane Tatoulian urged those in attendance to continue supporting the children of Armenia by subsidizing the EFC.

"With the economic hardships we have all seen these past few months, I understand how people are afraid of helping others," she said. "We cannot let this economy make us bitter, but better. The children of Armenia are also afraid of being forgotten."

During the xxxxtail hour, Kim Kardashian, Kloe Kardashian, and Robert Kardashian, Jr., came to donate a check to the EFC in their late father's name. Guests surrounded the Kardashians, snapping pictures with the reality TV family.

Producer and former daytime talk show host Ricki Lake spent the entire evening at the event with her friend and nanny, Maria de Silva, who was recently named a CNN Hero.

Ms. Tatoulian, who had formed a friendship with Ms. De Silva, invited her as a guest speaker to talk about her experiences of helping orphans in her native Malawi. Ms. De Silva responded to Ms. Tatoulian's request by saying, "the world needs to know that Armenia has so many children in need."

As a nanny working in the United States, Ms. De Silva remained devoted to her Malawian roots and worked compassionately for the benefit of orphans. Her work garnered her the CNN accollades.

Ms. De Silva's love of children and desire to help her people inspired her to develop a program to rescue the orphans and raise awareness of their plight. Her own family had been devastated by the AIDS epidemic ravaging Malawi.

"Every child, no matter where they come from, needs love, care attention, food and education," said Ms. De Silva. "If we take care of our children, we are giving them a future."

As the guest of honor of the ECF Grand Gala Night, Ms. De Silva received a framed commendation letter, a traditional Armenian painting of a cross by artist Seeroon Yeretzian (Arts & Culture, July 12, 2008) from the Primate of the Western Diocese. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian also gifted her with a cross that he blessed at the banquet before she put it around her neck.

Ricki Lake also spoke at the Gala, applauding the efforts of the EFC and Ms. De Silva.

"It is truly inspirational to take out time to be here today," she said. "Maria is as much as a saint as anyone I know. You inspire me. You make me a better mother. I am lucky to have you by my side."

Ricki Lake was also presented with an original Yeretzian painting of a pomegranate from Archbishop Derderian.

During the archbishop's address, he spoke about common God of helping the needy children of the world.

"Our love is not only for our dear children in Armenia, but for all children without exception," said the archbishop. "Every child is a gift of God, and the pain of every child is the pain of all of us."

The evening culminated with performances by Elvis impersonator Harry Shahoian (Art & Culture, May 10, 2008) and Dean Martin impersonator Mark Varabian. Also appearing was Cher impersonator Lisa Iron, who sang "I've got you babe" with audience members.?

                    $90,000? That's all.

She should have been able to gather that kind of coin by putting her hand up her ass.
The archbishop should have instructed her to bendover so Ricki Lake could conduct a proctology exam on her for more money. The kids in Etchmiadzin need it.

Obviously, the check she provided on behalf of her father was de minimis and her presence there did not inspire the masses to be more generous.

So this is what the Armenian Church is promoting these days.... Orphans need responsible mothers, not $90,000 wh0r3 dollars which is an embarrassing figure coming from 350 Hollywood types. Apparently their wealth is just as fake as they are. Bizarre news indeed.
