Re: Learning Armenian from Armenian people

    She says

"I am also in Armenia and I graduate in the Yerevan State University Bachelor and Master. Now I am working. And where do you study?"

As for what you should tell her, haha I don't know. But answering the question she did to you, if you study at whatever university, just say the name of that university and add -um at the end, for example you should say.

"Yes nayev Yerevan Petakan Hamalsaranum em sovorum."

And if you want to say "I study medicine (for example)"

    "Yes sovorum em bzhshkutyun"

To look for other things, look at here
    http://dictionary.hayastan.com/

Hope I've helped, and good luck.

Re: Learning Armenian from Armenian people

Hi Lucin, well today I just have a little question...you see I became obsessed with this phrase "մեռնեմ արեւիդ", I read it means something beautiful, but I can't find information about it.

Also, I've seen many in many websites people uses the word "sort", for example "sort erg, sort qaghak", I guess it means "cool" or something like that.

If it's not a bothering, could you please tell me what the proper meaning of these words is? And if it is not too much, also how do I write the word "sort"?

    Thanks

I know with "qez" I can say "Ես սիրում եմ քեզ", but I have seen in sentences, for example "Ինձ արհամարհելով, դուք ինձ չեք օգնում" that "indz" goes in different places, as well as "Մենք քիչ ենք, սակայն մեզ հայ են ասում", as well as "mez". So I wanted to ask, is there a rule of where to place those words in a sentence?
As far as I know there's no particular rule. However the 'rule' is where you want to put the emphasis on. When you say մեզ հայ են ասում", by putting մեզ at the head, you accentuate it further. For example, you can say; ես քեզ սիրում եմ / քեզ սիրում եմ / սիրում եմ քեզ... all are the same except that the emphasis as well as the intonation changes.

Yedtars, the program is not free apparently.

I kind of understand its use, I've seen it a lot, for example in things like "Duq hpartutyanb ltsnum eq im sirt@" when it is like "with pride", but maybe is there a rule of its use and what it implies?

No it is not limited to literature. You can perfectly use it in every day conversations. Իմ մեքենան/ իմ տունը/ քո երեխան...

"Մկներ" is the plural form of "Մուկ" like; շուն/ շներ. I have already given you examples of such words and explained about it previously. Here it is:
