Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Armenians, just ignore him. He knows well what the situation is and what Europe/America represent, but for some other reason he just tries to annoy everyone. Read his posts, you see they are not serious, just the same meaningless one-liners.
we should keep our ties with EVERY country, including Iran and of course Russia. But we should not develop strategic relations with Iran (like we have with Russia). We can maintain the relations we have now and the trade. In addition, we have to do a better job of monitoring what kind of people come from Iran to Armenia, and make sure the people who come and take advantage and do drug/women trafficking are kept out.

So, you want to follow Iran's example of putting a theocratic dictatorship? I mean they have one of the worst governments on this earth, and even the Iranians hate that government. We should be aiming to make our country more free, the government more transparent, and reduce heavily the nepotism/corruption. This is all what EU asks of the countries that are in the Council of Europe and Eastern Partnership program. Iran is a weak country now, very unstable politically. We have to keep our distance.

Tigranakert, ai esh You probably can't read very well or don't have mental capacity to understand. If your just a little child just tell me so I can stop wasting my time with you. Your immature comments are just evidence to this ("I think we will be better of if we become j-e-w-s.'')

If your going to give a serious, analytical response to this, do it, unless just stop wasting your time and everyone's time.

Where do you see culture in Europe? Just modern slavery. If you want to be part of that, move to Europe. Armenia's future lies in the hands of Armenians, Europe shall never be the future of us.
You do realise that the rot can set in anywhere and even Europe was not always as debased and degenerate as it is today. Further more, Armenia's future lies in the hands of Europe's estranged cousin Russia and don't delude yourself otherwise.

The Iranians and Armenians are isolated and ignorance is not always strength. As if you are not outward looking, as a people or willing to learn from the mistakes of others. Then you will surely learn from your own.

Whilst both Armenia and Iran are not in the Europe's sphere but Russia's. The reason why the Sunnis are so afraid of the Iranians Shi'ites is on account of their rapid demographic growth. However this isn't something that especially worry's Europeans.

The Armenians, Assyrians and Lebanese are highly developed people. I see no reason why they should not aggressively facilidate the growth of regional trade with Western Asia.

Your a funny guy Mos. You suggest that Armenia adopt a theocracy and a dress code but then you go and critisize Iran for having the same thing. Think about what your writing before you post because otherwise you look pretty bad. Attacking forum members btw will get you banned just fyi.

I never proposed a theocracy for your information. And my part about the dress has to do not with a religious reason but more a cultural reason.

Oh really I have been attacking him all this time? You have to be kidding me, he's been attacking me from the start and I've been able to restrain myself so far, but now it's just too much.

If you use logic and reason in your arguments then people will have a hard time attacking or critisizing you. Think things through before you make your posts and you will see a difference in how others respond to your posts and in the material you end up posting as well. No one expects a young man like yourself to have all the anwers just yet so listening to what others have to say might be a useful experience for you.

Not the mention that Iran is helping freely, did you really think Armenia can afford to buy Iran's Gas/Petrol while turkey cant? cant you see turkey always have gas problems during winter but Armenia doesnt? Do you know that Iran has a high voltage electric plant near Arax river and Armenia can use it by paying very little price? like 1/10 of the original price?
Open your eyes, before Iran Armenia was completely depending on Russia,But now Armenia gets 75% of its needs from Iran and 25% from Russia, and this 25% is just for keeping the ties between Russia and Armenia close, meaning it have political reasons not Economic.
so you think Iran is weak,i must admit that Iran's Government is bad,no one can deny it but Iran is not weak,Only Russia and America can beat Iran at the moment, all others fear Iran like hell

Khoobi Parskahye-jan? I agree with you, and Iranians like Armenians very much.

REGARDING THE SUBJECT OF THE THREAD:

The idea that Iranians will somehow spoil Armenian women is ridiculous. Armenian women have lived in Iran for centuries - Armenian women from Iran are far more likely to be family-oriented, better with children, less into drugs, and not involved in sex-professions. Iranian-Armenian women have also preserved their language and cultural roots.

If you compare Iranian-Armenian women to Armenian women living in the U.S. or Europe, you will see a far greater incidents of anti-family behavior and assimilation in the US and Europe. There's prostitution in every country, so I don't mean this in an offensive way, but if you run a google search on "Armenia Prostitution" I bet 99% of Armenian women that have made this mistake are NOT from Iran. (Has anyone even heard of one porn film from Iran starring an Armenian woman?)

Iranian-Armenian women are very family-oriented, intelligent, and well socialized women -- that's Iranian culture.

Let's put the myth of Iranians ruining Armenian women to rest - the real culprit is "western values" (not Iranian culture) regardless where "western values" take root. If you let Hollywood dictate the culture in Yerevan, you will get a lot of Paris Hilton copy-cats.

True! Iran is one of the least affected countries in terms of prostitution.

Armenian women have been in Iran for centuries -- if they would have been "ruined" or "brainwashed" it would have happened centuries ago -- but it didn't. Iranian-Armenian women are intelligent and well-adjusted women.
