Armenian Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan during a meeting with Diaspora Armenians in California talked about a sensational idea. She conveyed Armenian President’s intention to establish two-chamber parliament by changing the Republic of Armenia Constitution, giving a possibility to Diaspora Armenians to be members of the parliament’s upper chamber and thus involving world-spread Armenians in our country’s state government.

The Minister of Diaspora is set to meet with heads of all Armenian organizations in California.

Would this mean that diaspora Armenians would be involved in Armenia's foreign policy? That's the only way this could make sense.

Well also remember that many "Western Armenians" escaped to present day Armenia, though now they would be considered Eastern Armenians.

I've read some genetic studies that show that the closest people to us genetically are Azerbaijanis, followed by Turks. Just proving more my claim that dividing people based one tiny dna differences is idiotic, and more attention should be paid to looking at cultural differences.

The map is from dienekes blogspot. Geography has a big impact on gene flow. No Western Eurasian people are the same as they where in the past either on account of genetic drift.

Not all Jews are related (twelve tribes of israel etc.) and they certain don't all have common origins.

You would be hard pushed to find a genetic study published by Jews on Jews that doesn't have a religious/political agenda. Often people who are under the influence of a narrow or extremist religious view point, either can't think out of the box or even worse try to distort the facts.

Einstein was wrong, god does play dice with the universe and it's telling that he couldn't except Heisenberg's theory of quantum mechanics.

I know, Judaism is a "race religion", but one that doesn't believe in blood purity, the way Nazis and radically conservative Zoroastrians do, and quite naturally so, jews in geographically distant communities will take on distinct genetic profiles. It's just funny that for how much Armenians try to be distinct from jews, with whom they share many common characteristics, a large number of us end up being very closely related to these jewish groups according to these studies. We seem to be right by the Georgians/Kurds, not surprising as they have been our neighbours for a very long time. In my opinion dividing people by genetics is BS and backwards, as it's truly laughable the minuscule differences that people utilize to set one group apart from another group. DNA is not what divides us, that's all in the mind, it's culture.

Genetics are an invaluable tool in historical scientific research. It's by studying the genetic evidence that we now know for example that both the Cretan Minoans and Etruscans where from originally from Anatolia. Europe links to Anatolia via the Balkans and the Mediterranean is very important cultural bridge. Since Mediterranean cultures all traded and interacted extensively with each another.

The Kurds are a very mixed group. However they tend to have Indo-Iranic paternal and European maternal ancestry. Whilst the Georgians have more distinctly Caucasian ancestry.

The Hurrians and Assyrians where at one point Indo-European vassals and Armenians are Indo-Europeanised, ancient Anatolians. The Armenians Urheimaten lies within the very ancient Northwestern Semitic/Western Asian realm.

The Western Indo-Europeans to whom you are affiliated are originally from the region north of the Black Sea and they mostly likely entered the Anatolian region via the Balkans along with indigenous European peoples. However this element has been in Western Anatolia for at least 5,000 years, so I would not class it as a interloper. Andronovo cultures, Urheimaten is further north in the Urals and this is where the Indo-Iranics are from.
