I cannot believe I am reading this? So you refuse to help an Armenian kid who is on treatment right now in Israel fighting with cancer?
I hope you can sleep well without helping ARMENIAN kids.

Ok, don't believe it. I can see how one may feel compelled to help a kid undergoing cancer treatment, but I would much rather contribute to something that can help the country grow. More specifically, I would donate money to magnet school programs. These schools, at least, produce the next generation of scientists and engineers that are necessary to get Armenia to grow, whereas, a kid undergoing cancer treatment will be sick his whole life. It's harsh, but unless it's a relative or a friend, I'm stepping out.

There is also a fedayi family which is starving, bloggers made an arragments to get 10 people who will send 10$ per month ,so family can have stable 100$ a month. Obviously with rising prices in Armenia it is not enough for anything, but still it is something, and bloggers also are not millioners.

These kinds of donations, while somewhat effective at touching a very very small percentage of those in need, do not in any way solve any major problems. In fact, then breed a culture of dependence, with the unfortunate side-effect that most of them will never get to any aid. Helping a few here and there may make you or the other bloggers feel important as you've "helped" some people, but in reality, you have done absolutely nothing that will prevent people from getting into these kinds of conditions. In fact, those who are dependent on those donations to survive, will come to "expect" them as time passes, and rather than spend time to find ways to make ends meet, they will simply continue holding their palms up, asking for help. When victim hood is rewarded and even encouraged, it paralyzes those who are supposedly being helped. This creates permanent dependence rather than something temporary.

If you still want to give money, have them do something in return, even if the work is meaningless, it inspires respect as one earns money, rather than receives it.

The opposition is planning a revolution tomorrow. I'm hearing they are going door to door with flyers and leaflets, 10,000 have been passed out so far.



They even made a rap video. Not surprised it's in English.

On their facebook page they only have a couple hundred people - so doubt it's going to be successful. I think it's going to be on March 4, not tomorrow also.

^Of course, Levon isn't even featured here regardless of the fact that he himself has shady millions and started the culture of corruption in post-Soviet Armenia. Where are the oligarches that support Levon as well?

I'm still astounded that people can support Levon after what he did during his presidency. His elections were more rigged than any election in Armenia. He ordered tanks to ride over protesters after the election - an election he had clearly lost. What makes people think he has changed? But in my opinion, this is just going to be a small protest, mostly old people with some signs, they've given to much hype to it.
